Wow!!! What a disappointment!! The chips were ok but the salsa??? Not sure I have ever had purée tomatoes and called it salsa. None of the other sauces had any flavor that I cared for and nothing had anything with some spice. I ordered a medium rare steak and got and overcooked steak with mushy vegetables that had been sitting around. My partner got tacos that were tiny and left still hungry and it gave him diarrhea afterwards. I’m not sure what everyone else is eating but this is a one and done for us.

The food is not good it just looks good. I order tacos and they were full of oil, we also had a burrito and it was the same drench in greasy oil. You don’t need to add oil to steak since it’s already fatty, and it supposed to be cook on the grill. Don’t waste your money maybe drive farther but find a better Mexican place. The service was good.

What’s not to love about this restaurant?
My husband and I have been on a mission to find the best, authentic Mexican food in the Algonquin area. We, along with our friends and family, agree that this place is it! And we also love that they’re closed on Sundays.

Never had a bad meal or experience from Burrito Parrilla. The staff are always attentive and polite. Where else can you get tortilla chips and good salsas and refills on aguas frescas? Not many places.
My daughter loves this place that she chose it for her birthday treat! We were about to leave and she mentioned to our waiter that it was her birthday and he surprised her with a beautiful churro platter. Thank you guys kindly.
sincerely, a loyal customer.

I drive past almost everyday and finally had time to stop in. I imagined it as an expensive high end place but it's so not. It's affordable casual dining with absolutely amazing authentic fresh food and a very friendly staff with smiles on their faces that are happy to be there. I loved it. Family friendly. We had skirt steak enchiladas and al pastor. They even serve beer. We'll definitely be back. Go try it, you'll love it.

I recently checked out Burrito Parrilla Mexicana in Algonquin and it's a decent place if you're looking for a quick and satisfying meal. I was pleasantly surprised by how light the food felt, which is a nice change of pace for Mexican cuisine. The atmosphere was alright—nothing fancy, but it's a perfectly fine spot to grab a quick bite without feeling rushed. My dish was decently priced, offering good value for what you get. Overall, it's not a terrible place by any stretch, and I'll definitely stop there again when I'm in the mood for something quick and tasty.

I really did not enjoy this place. It felt so unfriendly? Not the fault of the workers, just how big the room was and how boring and unpersonal everything felt.
Both me (chicken) and my brother's (beef) burritos were just...bad. Expensive for what they were and we just did not enjoy ours. It didn't taste like there was a lot of seasoning in my chicken, I didn't love the chicken not being shredded and just every part of it was boring.
That was really the problem I think, everything was boring and unimpressing.
The music they were playing over the speakers was so unappealing and we were slowly being driven insane by it. The workers were (oh so very faintly) playing music far in the back and I really wish the restaurant would just let the workers play the music they want to because it was SO MUCH better than what was over the speakers. Also, workers look so much more comfortable and relaxed when they're not forced to listen to godawful music their whole shift, so even if their music WAS horrible, I'd still prefer it to the music the restaurant was playing.
Anyway. Not coming back.
It was clean! I'll give them that.
