Cattleman's Burger and Brew

Wre in the Algonquin area and looked at the menu online and looked interesting. The restaurant is basically a bar with booths and high boys. Sat in a booth and not comfortable at all.
They use an electronic menu to look at. Ordered drinks. Had a special on BBR Ribs half and full slab , so the half was ordered and a Burrito Chicken Bowl. Ribs were okay but way too much sauce. Chicken Bowl was good.
Service was good. Received the check and was surprised to see calculated gratuities of 20, 25 and 30% suggested. Seriously?

Just picked a random restaurant while moving our college kid into his apartment. Had no idea but the food was fantastic and Rhonda our server was fabulous!!! We are all looking forward to the next time we are in town and my college kid can’t wait to bring friends!

What can I say, I LOVE Cattleman’s!! Mike and Katelyn have done a really amazing job with amazing food- apps and entrees. You’re always made to feel like “you’re home” at this downtown bar and eatery. Riki, Dominic, Janina, Elijah, and the whole crew are awesome.

I love the trivia nights on Monday, Singo Bingo on Wednesday… and KARAOKE on Tuesdays and Thursdays are my favorite.

You can’t go wrong with any of the food. Burgers and wraps are great. My favorites are the BLT and the Ribs mmmm.

I’ve been coming here since Tony owned it so about almost 6 years now and became even more of a regular since Mike&Katlin have became owners. It’s like a home away from home to me. Rikki and JT and Rhonda And Dominic and Elijah are all amazing servers and JT and Rikki are great bartenders as well. It’s a place I can go to as a woman and be alone and feel totally safe and comfortable. The food is always amazing! Mike&Katlin are amazing owners and very accommodating as well which is why I’m there more than once a week for the most part. Danimals karaoke is the best in town and is on Tuesdays and Thursdays and it’s a party to say the least. When I came for Halloween in 2024 I had the best time ever and the dj Lee is so good too on Fridays if ya like to dance he’s got you.

Got the ribs special to go since we have a new puppy at home, $22 and it came with fries....ribs were really good! I like fall off the bone ribs and these definitely fit the bill. Up there with Texan for good local ribs. A couple full stabs was enough to feed my family of 5, great deal and great ribs!

Hubby and I were there for first time today and can tell you that we are impressed and will be back.
Food was delicious! Service by Elijah and Vilmos was very nice! Very friendly, clean and cozy place.
The only thing we didn't like was the fact of no sign on the building. We didn't know if this was a place in business or not, until we saw a sign on east side of the building.
Burgers were outstanding!

I have been coming here for years and I must say I love it! I’m not the biggest fan of bar food, but the service never fails to impress and the sweet blond boy (Elijah?) and the pretty dark haired waitress always make us feel at home. They’re always so nice and accommodating. The owner, Mike, makes a point to say hi. Rickie always pops off and makes such creative drinks whenever I’m not sure what I want. My fave will always be a cheeky little g & t though. again bar food isn’t usually my thing, my finance loves their burgers and their cheese curds do slap. Highly recommend going on karaoke night if you want a fun show. I went on a Thursday, slayed.

Had an incredible experience, food took a while but our server was forward that they weren’t so prepared for a much busier night in the kitchen! seemed like they had a lot of online orders!
In addition our server was training a new hire while making drinks! I didn’t get her name but everyone worked very well together to help the experience! Trivia was a great add as well. We cannot wait to come back

My family and I have been coming to Cattlemen’s since they’ve opened and every time we came in to eat we’ve always had great service. We had placed an order on the phone on the way so it would be ready once we got there (we have done this before and there’s never been an issue) we came in they sat us down and the waitress with the glasses and dark hair with a nose ring came to our table and made a hostile comment about us placing an order on the phone we let it go and continued to eat our food. We had asked her to bring extra plates since we were going to split the pasta since it’s a big serving size she looked at us with a confused look on her face and a condescending tone and said “you’re splitting…” and proceeded to walk off and bring back plates which she slammed on the table. Again we let it go because we just want to have a meal in peace. She asked if we needed anything and I asked her if I could have red crushed peppers and she said with an attitude “we don’t have that here” mind you I’ve been coming here for years and they’ve always brought me them but I didn’t want to start an argument over chili flakes so I told her it’s okay just bring me any hot sauce and she went to grab hot sauce and again slammed it on the table aggressively and looked at us and with an attitude and tone said “do you guys need anything else!?” We just said no and she walked off. As a different waitress was passing by I told her don’t not send our waitress back over to us because she was rude and obnoxious the waitress said sorry and that it was no problem. Not even 10 seconds goes by and the grumpy waitress came over AGAIN after we specifically asked for a new waitress. She came over demanding a reason why we didn’t want her serving us we explained very briefly and told her to please leave our table she refused and stood there trying to argue with us she then slammed the check and boxes on the table and said we need to box up our food and pay the bill and leave even though we were still in the middle of eating. I told her we’re absolutely not leaving to grab her manager or the owner she said she was the manager and we told her to bring us the owner that we knew was there. She said there’s no point of bringing him because he was going to tell us the same thing. We said we didn’t care we would still like to speak to him, after her crash out moment she finally went back to grab the owner. After a few minutes he came to our table we explained everything to him and he apologized and comped our meal for the treatment we had just received. It is so unfortunate that a place we once loved to go to became somewhere we would never go again just because of a rude grumpy waitress. If you go here try to avoid her as your server unless you want horrible hospitality.

Super unprofessional business! Would never revisit solely based off the fact that they disregard their poor reviews as “fake”. very suspicious considering how many “fake” reviews they get..

Bar food not that good, very expensive. $100 for 2 to eat and that was just a beef sandwich & chicken sandwich and 2 drinks. Place is tiny and very cramped. Also had a DJ who needs lessons in blending one song into another. Off beat and off key. Overall was just bad and won’t be back.
