Juicy yet crispy and full of flavor. Incredibly nice workers there. Giovanni was an angel and I didn't catch the other gentleman that helped us tonight but they were peaches. Food is comparable to southern chicken and Nashville hot. Sauce is great. Fries full of flavor. Drink choices were fun.

Best Shakes & Exceptional Customer Service Recovery!
My experience here proves that great businesses don't just avoid mistakes—they master the recovery. And let me tell you, their commitment to service is as incredible as their shakes are delicious!
We had a comedy of errors with our drive-thru order (Algonquin location): a long wait, a mix-up with the flavors (it turns out the chocolate syrup ran out!), and a general oversight.
These shakes are a premium product, and while the quality is unmatched, when an order of just 4 shakes runs $41, the expectation for flawless execution is naturally very high.
We had to drive back & the team saw 4 large vanilla shakes instead of 2 large chocolate shakes & 2 large chocolate shakes with M&Ms, a simple order.
What happened next was amazing: Simon jumped into action. He realized the complexity of the mistake and immediately worked to fix it.
It took 3 team members to troubleshoot & repair the machine just to make our order, ensuring we got exactly what we asked for.
Simon promised a refund. While I initially worried because it wasn't instantly reflected, I am happy to report Fernando, the manager I talked to, took the time to review the transaction details this morning & confirmed the refund was processed that very same night, exactly as promised.
They truly stand behind their word, and I greatly appreciate Fernando's thoroughness & commitment to confirming everything was handled correctly. They truly stand behind their word.
The team was courteous, efficient & turned a frustrating moment into a stellar display of customer care.
The shakes are truly the best—& they come with an outstanding team dedicated to your satisfaction. Highly, highly recommend!!

We found multiple bugs in our food. This is by far the worst Dave’s Hot Chicken we’ve ever been to. My husband and I used to love this place, but after this experience, we’ll never be back. To make matters worse, the manager started yelling at us when we calmly shared our concerns. Completely unprofessional. Stay safe

Avoid this Dave’s location Algonquin at all costs. We found a bitten nail in our food… absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. My daughter became sick and had to be hospitalized because of this. This place is a serious health hazard please take your business elsewhere.

The staff at this location was unhelpful when I ordered takeout. They seemed to think the company menu and the establishment menu were different, which is not true. They prioritized chatting over serving customers. The food was okay, but I wouldn’t return.

Dave’s used to be one of my favorite food spots, but the customer service has really declined lately. The management at the Algonquin location was terrible, and I was deeply hurt by the racist behavior I experienced. I actually left in tears. Sadly, I won’t be coming back, even though it used to be my favorite place.

this location is completely unhygienic and disgusting. we found a piece of hair in our mac and cheese. the staff doesn’t wear gloves, and the inside of the restaurant is visibly dirty. finding hair in food is beyond gross if you care about cleanliness and your health, avoid this place.
Earlier today, I was in the drive-thru line and witnessed the manager yelling aggressively at the car in front of me. The customer hadn’t done anything wrong, yet the manager was screaming violently. It was truly upsetting to see. When it was my turn at the window, the staff had a rude attitude, and the chicken I received was dry and cold. As a regular customer at Dave’s, I’m extremely disappointed. Seeing how poorly that customer was treated, along with being served low quality food, was completely unacceptable.

Danni was very polite and patient when taking my order. It was just 1min after opening but she still managed to greet me and my friend who came for lunch after our chapel from university and take the time to explore the menu. Thank you Danni for taking the time to show dedication and passion to your job, overall your commitment inspires positivity within the community because If I’m being 100% honest, I NEVER write reviews however the way you treated us on 10/3/25 at 10:31am the VERY first order…. THATS what inspired me to write this. So thank you 😊 food was delicious and hot and service was amazing 🩷
