Miso soup had a hair in it, California roll had cucumber that was turning grey (noticed after two bites and started burping up cucumber), and the wasabi from the California roll had caviar in it from one of the other rolls ( not a big deal but shows sloppiness). I been coming to Sushi King since I moved to Algonquin back in 2017, it's one of my favorite sushi places. Since I work from home I will sometimes go on my lunch break for a quick sushi lunch. My wife prefers hot food so she loves the Raman and the Udon noddle's which are really GOOD! I like to go with just my wife but I have also taken groups of friends as well, great service each time. I love the Angel Roll and tuna salad is fantastic! I hard recommend the Algonquin Sushi King from it's great staff to the amazing food. In the last 8 years I been eating there about 50+ times and each time is great! The Raman is perfect right as wintertime sets in here in Algonquin.

I will say I have been eating at Sushi King Algonquin location for a year now and I must say every aspect you want in a sushi restaurant they have. Great quality sushi, (best in Chicagoland if you ask me). I am from South Florida and been in Northern Illinois for about 2 years now and the owner Amy is the best, the employees are super friendly, welcoming. Quality of sushi is top of the notch, refreshing and many varieties to choose from. Highly recommend checking it out if you are a sushi fan.

I've come here several times for the all-you-can-eat sushi. I always have great service and the sushi is always so delicious! Such a great value for a lot of food. The appetizers are also included too! I will be coming back that's for sure.

If you want to listen to Carly Rae Jepsen on repeat, call them maybe. I am not exaggerating from the time we walked in and when we got our food, the same song on repeat for about 20 or more minutes. When the music stopped, all we could hear was one of the employees kids on their computer and who they were talking with very loudly. The place was empty, but we couldn't be bothered to ask if wanted drinks or anything other than our food. The McHenry location is infinitely better. We will not be back.
