We came here for a late breakfast/lunch. We were very excited to try as we had never been and the reviews were good. There were 5 of us, 2 ordered breakfast, and 3 had lunch entrees, we also got an appetizer. The food came and it looked pretty good. My husband began to butter his toast and saw that the bread had mold on the corner!! It was green and moldy!!! We let the server know and she apologized and replaced it. He asked for a refill on the coffee and upon pouring the creamer in it , it curdled and was lumpy, the creamer was bad too!! We let her know and again she apologized and replaced the coffee and the creamer.
I got a buffalo chicken sandwich and as soon as I took a bite I could not. The chicken was so overcooked it was chewy and hard to bite.
I tried another bite and just could not as it was so too hard and overcooked.
We got a California panini and that was not a panini at all, it was just a toasted sandwich. It was missing the avocado which meant we had to call the server again!!! She brought out some slices of avocado to be added by ourselves.
The chicken tenders that were ordered were over cooked and had a very bad taste to them.
The 2 other breakfast items did not taste very good either, we nibbled on them but to be honest had a bad taste in our mouths since being served the moldy bread.
This was definitely not worth the money we spent. We did not eat, all the food was basically left on the table except for a few bites here and there. I wish we had taken pictures.
I asked to speak to the manager about it and spoke to the assistant manager, she said the manager was out. She said she needed to make a phone call to her, she did, came back and said there was nothing she could do.
Needless to say we won’t be back. What a terrible experience we had.

Disappointed, I was asked if I wanted fries because it came with the meal. I asked if I could get fruit instead. She said yes. Them I was charged 3.00 for the fruit cup. I would have passed if she told me there would be a charge. They would not take it off the bill.

This place has become hit or miss. Usually good value and giant portions but quality is slipping. This is what they call a scrambler. Basically a burnt omelette. It was so burned that the eggs were actually crunchy and the added egg shells made it even crunchier. Potatoes tasted like they were on their 5th warmup trip in the fryer. The bacon was good though. If I were the server I’d be embarrassed to bring this to a table. It should have never made it to my table like this. We walked in at about 7:10. Place closes at 8. They seemed like they were more worried about cleaning up and going home than making good food. I feel bad for the people who walked in at 7:45. It sounded like the only thing they could get was plain waffles or pancakes. Maybe advertise what time your kitchen closes and then start cleaning up. Don’t let the employees put everything away before you close.

Issues with order being correct, table sticky and service was a little slow. Decor is confused.

I had the butcher omelet and loved it. Massive 6 egg omelet stuffed to the brim with toppings. Very tasty. The other members of the party thought the food was only ok, for example, the eggs Benedict were cold and the english muffin a little soggy from butter. So food tastiness may depend on meal choice. Overall service was quick and pleasant.

This was a fantastic lunch with a large menu selection. Service was great and there was plenty of seating. There are several things on the menu that I would like to try so we will be back. This would be the perfect place for a girls brunch.

My mom and I had a really disappointing experience at Sweet Basil Cafe today. We got there a bit earlier than my sister and niece, and the waitress didn't even say hi to us--she just handed us waters without a word. When my mom said she would like coffee and didn't even finish her sentence because she wanted a flavored coffee, the waitress walked away without acknowledging her and came back with a regular coffee instead.

Things only got worse when the rest of our family arrived. The waitress never returned to our table. We saw her texting, leaving the cafe for about 10 minutes, coming back while talking on the phone, and then looking right at us and still ignoring us. At that point, we'd had enough. We decided to just pay for our drinks and leave.

When we complained about the waitress, we were stunned to find out she was actually the manager. I really feel for the other employees who have to deal with such a miserable person in charge. We definitely won't be coming back to Sweet Basil Cafe.

This woman should not have a job dealing with the public.

I started going to Sweet Basil when it first opened. When I first went, I had a good server who gave great service and great experience.
Every other time since I have not gotten good service at all. I really think they need to do a much better job of training their servers.
Regarding the food, the 1st thing I ordered was a BLT with Chicken Noodle soup. You really can't do much to mess that up so it was good.
Since then I ordered the turkey meal and the beef meal w/mashed potatoes over bread. The first thing is the food doesn't come out hot. The taste is very bland. The presentation is sloppy.
The last time I visited I ordered the BLT and for some insane reason there were onions on there (not supposed to be) and if there is anything I despise its onions. The server didn't want to do anything to fix the issue. I stated I didn't want another one and she said I would still be charged. When I brought to attention while paying at front, the manager was there and I told her the whole situation and got my meal comped as it should have been.
Due to food quality and service I highly wouldn't recommend eating at Sweet Basil. I will not be going back, which is sad because they have a great menu on paper.
The location is adorable and decorated very nicely.
