The booths, the chairs, the tables- SPECTACULAR WORKS OF ART! The food was great. They can't figure out how to make a Virgin Margarita. The chips and salsa- amazing. The Chorizo quoso fundido was loaded with sausage. Desserts/ weak selection Lighting- Fluorescent grade school - Too bright. Music- almost absent Overall enjoyed. PS: the magic marker numbers on the booth walls was sinfull. From a chef of 50 years. Great decor!.

Price is too high for what you get , They try to charge kids drink at an adult price of $3.25 The food taste like generic food ,and they charge you 4% on your credit card, and food so spicy it is hard to eat it.

Best shrimp quesadilla I’ve ever had. Seasoned perfectly, flavorful, and juicy. They also have the best queso blanco! My boyfriend ordered a steak quesadilla and loved it as well. Not the biggest portion but the flavors won’t let you down. I would recommend this place!

Stopped here on a whim while driving home to Ohio and had super delicious chilaquiles with chicken. The sauce was amazing and it was almost like getting fajitas but with awesome sauce and cheese on top. We also had tacos and chicken fajitas at our table, also very good, but everyone liked mine best. Fabio was our server and was super attentive, and explained the heating was out, but it was worth it to bundle up and stay cuz the food was great. He let us practice our Spanish with him too, era muy amable! Super cute, clean little place with lovely unique booths and chairs all done in artesania style. Un aplauso, ¡comida muy rica!Kid-friendliness: Cute chairs and a claw game

12 of us came in on Friday night. The place was COLD...57°F with no heat! We asked to get the heat up...no one acted like they understood English. One person spoke some Spanish to the waiters. They were surprised and still acted like they didn't know what we were saying. WE ALL WALKED OUT and went to JOE'S PIZZA.Can't eat in the cold!

Absolutely worst experience ive had at a restaurant! We had a pretty large group for a birthday party but they only had 4 other people in the whole place. The waiter was so incredibly rude. He kept tapping his pen, rolling his eyes, and actually refused to take 2 of our orders.

El Rancherito is standard Mexican American food, for the most part. I got the enchilada plate, which was good with the exception of the hamburger as the meat (meh). Chips were just ok, same with the salsa. I got the bean dip that was really good. My wife got a dish that she felt was very subpar and couldn't eat it - she took issue with the quality. I'd come back again, not expecting a great deal, and she wouldn't come back at all.

This had to be the best Mexican restaurant we have ever been to. Our waiter was funny and accommodating. The decor was beautiful and the food was outstanding. I'll give them 10 stars and we will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Didn't get checked on once. No refills. Not even a "how's yours food?". All around bad service. Kinda felt like I paid to get ignored. And no not like they were super busy we were the only ones in there. Won't be back.

We got a late start for dinner and came in 50 minutes before closing. We were met with smiling faces and a clean, beautiful restaurant. Our server was top-notch, and he was happy to make suggestions for what we were looking to order. The food was brought out in record time - hot and delicious! Our server was very tentative, and everything was just perfect! Thank you for bringing your great restaurant to Altamont!

Amazing sums it up. The atmosphere was wonderful, bright and colorful Mexican artwork engulf you. The service was prompt and friendly. The tamales were unbelievable, some of the best I have ever had. The molé on them was perfect, and molé done well is hard to find. I ate every bit of sauce off of my plate with the warm soft flour tortillas. The hot, thick, and fresh corn tortilla chips and fresh salsa were delightful, and a nice crunch with my soft and warm entrée. The chili verde would make your abuela weep with joy. No need for a knife, the steak just melted into the verde sauce. The tomatoes still were firm enough and were a delight to bite into in-between the copious amounts of steak. Even the rice was pillowy, moist, and flavorful. There was nothing less than authentic, scratch food here. I am absolutely thrilled that we were fortuitous enough to land here on a cross-country road trip. There is no doubt in saying I will be visiting again.Side note: The restaurant is next to a beautiful and quaint local park. A great spot to eat al fresco!
