We had a lovely dining experience at State Street Market. The tamale with white chocolate mole sauce was the hands down winner of our table, but the Asian fusion shrimp, bone in pork chops, and Moroccan salmon dishes were all excellent. The drinks were made and served to perfection. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return to this restaurant when we are in the area.
What a nice quaint place to have dinner and drinks. The food was delicious and the staff was very attentive and kind.

What a find a hidden gem. Unique menu and terrific wine list. And pleasant and warm staff!! I had the Figgy Piggy Panini — it was unusual, unexpected and absolutely delicious!!
Such a gem and prices not bad foe the quality of food. Small town atmosphere with 5 star dining. Everything was fabulous from the appetizer to the dessert. Definitely recommend and will be returning soon.
We were in the area and decided to try something different and we were in for an unforgettable culinary treat. Incredible hostess describing the different courses and succulent dishes, as well as impecable service. Delicious humus, shrimp entree and salmon main dish were worth crossing the river.
This place is absolutely on point. Only closed on Sunday and Monday but opened for the rest of the days for lunch and dinner (Facebook says they’re closed for lunch). But they are definitely opened! The main dinner menu I posted is Chef PK’s Winter Dinner menu, which will change through the year with fresh/seasonal products. Highly recommend making reservations for dinner and do not be discouraged when you enter and you see the bar area, there’s a cute dining room area in the back! This spot is very Euro-Interactive, so do not come here to watch sports. Come here for the amazing food (which does offer kids/vegan/and gluten options), service and drink menu/selection.
Everything was delightful, from the food to the service. I had the braised beef and it was absolutely delicious. Everyone in my party was raving about their dishes. The ambiance is lovely and comfortable. This is a definite go-back.
This was one of the only restaurants open on Tuesday night so we decided to give it a try. Little did we know it would be one of the best meals we’ve had on a long time. It was a When Harry Merry Sally moment for me. I had the filet mignon with asparagus and a potato fritte. Every bite was savory delicious. The meat was beautiful tender snd the mushroom cheese topping gave it a wonderful flavor. The potato was layered with a tender center and crisp outside. East a bit with the cheese and mushrooms and it tasted like fancy scalloped potatoes with a salty crunch. And the apparatus with extremely simple, but tender and delicious. I loved every bite. Our table also had orders of braised beef, salmon, chicken and eggplant Parmesan and shrimp. Everyone said they really enjoyed their meals. The only thing less stellar was the fried cheesecake appetizer. The first bite was good, but once sliced open there was quite a bit of grease that came out of it and then it wasn’t so great. My husband liked it ok though. Overall, highly recommended!!!!

Loved this place. Very friendly staff and great food. On vacation from Utah and I would love to come back.
Fantastic craft cocktail and wine selection. Great staff and a cool place to hang.
Just superb! We ended up dining at this restaurant for my 50th birthday. Our 10 year old son was with us. Beyond excellent service and the food was absolutely incredible. Beyond being so good, the serving size are large enough that I ate my leftovers the following day. Prices are excellent for quantity and quality. We only wish this restaurant was closer to our home. We will definitely be making another trip for a weekend getaway centered around dining here again.
My husband and I celebrated our 48th Anniversary last night and there was NOTHING that could have been improved on. I had filet and he had lamb. Both meals were the best we have had in forever. Awesome presentation. Caring and attentive staff (Melanie rocks). The restaurant reminded us of European cafes that we love. Patio with fireplace. If we lived in Alton, we would be such regulars here. Thank you all for a memorable celebration.
