This donut was amazing omg getting this more often
I decided on a whim to stop in after work. Got the chicken bites basket. The people are very friendly, the food was amazing! I’m very happy with my whole experience, and I’ll be coming back real soon!
Being from Louisiana, the food was just o.k. Service was prompt and friendly. Servings were very small for the price. Not worth the cost or trip to Alton. Can buy and cook myself for a lot less.

I have ordered from here at work multiple times and the food is amazing! But while I was dashing I received an order for pick up with an ETA of 8:15. once I arrived I was informed they closed at 8 😕 the man (pretty sure it was one of the owners) proceeded to tell me he delivered it personally.... and I was more than welcome to mark picked up and receive my tip 😃. Had he not done that m our customer would not have gotten their delicious food and I wouldn't have been able to receive my $10 tip! This to me is an example of excellent service! you guys rock!
Used the drive thru. So I can not say anything about the atmosphere.
Crawfish Etouffe, this with extra sauce hands down my favorite dish.
I am going to have to try their gumbo again, as the first time I tried it, I was not impressed. But the recent pictures show it much thicker than when I had it.
The service is always good and I understand the wait time for food. Red beans and rice is a great pick me up.

Food was not that good. Way over priced. Strawberry crunch cake would have been good but cake was dry. Not worth a return visit

Hubby brought me here for lunch yesterday and to say the food was to die for is a massive understatement. It's so good I'm going back tonight for dinner. We had the smothered cabbage, red beans and rice, and the crawfish etouffe and they were all incredible and bursting with flavor. Best authentic Cajun food I've ever had. 20/10 highly recommend!

Very good food. But this last time I got the crawfish Etuafe' and it was impossibility hot. They added way more jalopenos than normal. And they were chopped tinny so you could not pick them out. Kind of makes me weary about ordering again. Because I do not like my food on fire. Spicy is ok. But that was ridiculous. Oh and they forgot my corn bread again.

Authentic Food!! Genuine People!! Amazing Atmosphere! We try and go at least once a week! Their menu has amazing variety even for picky eaters. My favorite meal to get is the Pork Jambalaya with some cornbread and a strawberry lemonade!

Stopped in to try a new place. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a smile and good vibes. Ordered the traditional gumbo, with a side of cornbread and potato salad. Food came out quickly and hot. To start off, the gumbo is to die for. The chunks of chicken packed with flavor that soothes your soul. The sausage melting in every bite. Next I tried the potato salad, (which I’m quite picky about). Not to worry, the potato salad is delicious! Packed with flavor in every bite. The cornbread is sweet and savory. They really put the soul in soul food. The owners are super sweet and welcoming. 10 out of 10 recommend!
