I LOVE some good cajun food and Gumbo 2 Geaux is just a few blocks from my house. I am there at least once a week and have enjoyed every single scrumptious item I've ordered. My long time fav has been the boudin. You can't get boudin anywhere around here and their's is so good.But now they have added Crawfish Étouffée to their everyday menu and I am in cajun heaven! I have been to Louisiana, I have lived in Texas where you can get real cajun food, but this is seriously the best Crawfish Étouffée I've ever had - and I've had a lot! I'm so glad they chose Alton for Gumbo 2 Geaux.

10/10 on everything!! The fried shrimp po boy was delicious! The potato salad was also really yummy. My husband loved the potato wedges covered in seafood sauce and the cornbread. We will definitely be back.

Really great Cajun food place. Staff is very friendly and food is delicious. Mainly for take out and drive through but there are 2 tables inside to eat in. One of the few places around where you can get legit New Orleans cuisine.

My alligator bites were so good the wedge fries were over seasoned and needed to be fried one to two mins longer. The cocktail sauce was jellied and had liquid sitting on top when I opened the container so I picked all over my meal. Ate all the alligator bites maybe six of the fries. Now let's get into the desert the strawberry crunch cake was a bit different for my taste but it was moist the strawberries on top felt ok very ripe when I bit into them.

The food is fantastic here, it's wonderfully authentic and the best Cajun I've had in the area period! The portions are healthy, and you'll be bringing home plenty of great leftovers, the flavor does not disappoint ( I had the gumbo and oh my God was it fantastic)! The staff are incredibly nice, helpful, and easy to talk to; plus the atmosphere is really comforting. Overall this is a ten out of ten experience and I would highly recommend anyone in the area to stop what their doing and come get some of this amazing food!

Spontaneous drop I'm. What a GEM? !! We had regular and seafood gumbo, red beans and rice and corn bread. All outstanding. Looking forward to trying the entire menu.

We ate lunch from here today. The female owner is so nice, good people here. We had shrimp platters. I am from LA myself (lower Alabama) and if you close your eyes when you bite into it, you will think you are on Pensacola Beach in FL. So fresh!!! Great hush puppies too! And the banana pudding will make you think your grandma is in the kitchen!
