Joe K is one of the bigger breakfast restaurant's in the Alton area. A lot of seating, usually busy but not overly crowded. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Food is good with a few exceptional dishes like the breakfast pony. Breakfast pony is a biscuit with your choice of meat & egg, hash browns layered topped with sausage gravy. Delicious. Only gave a 4 star because the food came out cold.

Their food is some of the best food in the area. The diner has a classical feel to the mood the restaurant sets.

Great food & really good service by all employees. Renee, our waitress, was exceptional & has a great personality. Pricing is very fair for the portions you receive, eg. (Blueberry pancakes)!!! Loaded w/blueberries & (2) pancakes as big as the plate. I had the “Dixie Special” which came with biscuit & gravy which was excellent. If you don’t get there early, expect a short wait & you’ll soon understand why!

We had honor of treating the legendary traveler, Peter Frank, during his historic Mississippi River adventure. He was starving when we acquired him and in need of calories to restore his energy. Joe K's was just the place for energy fueled brunch on a Friday afternoon. Great food. Great service. And a great environment. Thank you!

Hands down the best breakfast food in the area. However, you should plan on waiting if your going for breakfast (it just shows how good the food is) but then also wait for your food...even though it might be sitting in the window for some time. Food is top-notch, the eggs, waffles, Dixie and coffee (very strong) are my favorite. The downfall of this restaurant are some of the servers...we always just praying we don't get seating in certain ladies section. Older woman with short grey hair is dismissive, rarely checks back and very rude.

The best breakfast nook in the Alton/Godfrey area.

It truly is not as good as dapper.

Amazing breakfast and service. Atmosphere was great, a few loud kiddo's, but it's a family place.
