Went today for the special chili mac first of all the chili was so spicy I couldn't eat it. Secondly it wasn't chili mac it was chili with spaghetti noodles. Chili mac is made with macaroni noodles Hensel the name chili MAC. ON A NICER NOTE MONDAYS SPECIAL POT ROAST WAS ECELLENT HOT AND TENDER AS CAN BE CAN CUT IT WITH A FORK. AND LARGE PORTIONS SO YES ON MONDAYS SPECIAL AND NO ON WEDNESDAY

Being a River-Aire Rat I've been going to Johnsons Corner since it opened. Always known for great kabobs, house salads and tenderloin, Johnsons has been pretty good. I was definitely disappointed this last trip in. On 02/07/25 wife and I went into Johnson Corner we sat down to eat at 5:30 got our drinks, cheese and crackers ordered our food. At 6:39 I thought the waitress forgot about us. I was right on the verge of getting up and leaving. Our waitress had been by the table once to bring drinks and that was it. Tired and hungry the wife and I decided to hang in a few more minutes. The moment our food did arrive my kabobs were cold and potatoes tasted like they just came out of the refrigerator. My wife's chicken not much better and her greenbeans were also not warm. If we hadn't been hungry I would have just left. We ate a little anyway, paid $51 bill. The waitress did offer to bring us dessert on the house, but we declined. 43 years I've been going here, unfortunately I probably won't be returning.

The fries are barely cooked, the crappie filets tasted freezer burned and over cooked. Def not worth the price and the atmosphere was very dark and muted. The lighting is terrible and the booths are dirty

Finally found a place with the perfect potato skins (potato boat on menu). The turkey horseshoe was delicious as well. Everything the family ordered was delicious and the service was exceptional.

The atmosphere was great, and everyone including the customers were very friendly. I got the salisbury steak special with mashed tarots and green beans, and it was delicious. It seemed like it only took a few minutes before my food was served. Definitely rate this place 5 star, and going to go back to try other things on the menu. One suggestion is maybe changing the sign to restrooms only for customers instead of no public restrooms. I totally understand why the sign is there though. Also I’m not sure if there is more parking available that I didn’t see. I had to park crossed the street at the car lot at least it looked like a car sale lot. Thank you, and I’ll be back with others. I’m definitely sharing the great time I had with others.
Parking: Only possible problem I can see with this place was the availability of parking. I may have missed a bigger parking lot, but I had to park across the street at a car sales lot.
Pork chop was under cooked. Hamburger was over cooked. I believe the food was pre-cooked then slapped on grill before serving. Waitress was very good. Place is a bit drab. Just need a few items to spruce it up.
