I’d hate to leave a negative comment, because when it comes to the flavor and quantity, I was really pleased with the outcome of the purchase. However, I did find a long piece of hair in-beaded inside of my fufu. To be quite honest, it really upset me and even though I was 3/4 into my meal, I noticed the hair and no longer wanted to continue to eat it..I WOULD COME BACK THOUGH. My first time having fufu and even though it was expensive it was definitely worth it- besides the hair. I understand mistakes happen. The owner was sweet and the portion sizes won’t disappoint you, the egusi soup tasted like it was made with love. I wish they were open more frequently!

This place is a hidden gem.
I finally had a chance to stop in and grabbed a chicken and pork plate. Let me tell you it was nothing short of amazing, exactly what I was looking for. The flavor and authenticity was incredible. We ate at the small bistro top bar facing Main Street and it was awesome. It’s beautifully decorated and quaint. The politeness and genuine home cooking from a different culture makes this place a return stop for sure.
If you like jerk style and want to introduce your tastebuds to something different, it’s absolutely fantastic. Thank you for the hospitality and the great food. ✌️

I love this place. I've been getting takeout there since they opened a few years ago. Everything I've had has been excellent, and the portions are pretty large so I usually have some leftovers for another meal. Last, the owner is super nice and does her best to accommodate requests.

They are such a great place to get food!!! You won't be able to find any tastier or soul-warming food in Antioch than here. They also have vegan options. I highly recommend you get the chickpea curry. I still think about it when I'm not eating it! Also, the staff is so friendly and kind. The dessert options are great as well, with vegan donuts! Once you walk into the store, you are greeted with warming and homey smells.

We were looking for a restaurant that offered vegan options close to a show we were going to in downtown Antioch. We saw in some of the reviews that it was a good idea to reach out ahead of time to see what was available off of the menu. Because of that, we called the day before just to make sure the vegan options would be available. When we picked up the food last Friday evening, everything was very fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!

This was a tough rating to give because the owner is an absolute doll and the restaurant itself is charming- Odd layout, but the dining area is pretty. My fiancé booked this as a surprise since I’m a huge fan of oxtail, and they’re the only spot in the area that serves it. Reservations were a challenge, as the latest available time was 5:30PM and they’re only open a few hours a day, 4 days a week. When we arrived, we were surprised to learn that there were only two items on the menu- jerk chicken or jerk pork. No oxtail, which was the reason we came. We sat in the dining room, which was lovely but thankfully empty, as it’s quite an intimate space to share with strangers. The food was served hot with generous portions, but both the chicken and pork were extremely spicy, and all the dishes—including the mac and cheese and plantains—tasted very similar with the same jerk seasoning throughout. This is a unique spot with lots of potential and a wonderfully sweet staff, but unfortunately it wasn’t the experience we were hoping for, so we won’t be returning.

The food was not very flavorful, just spicy. Overall, it was not that good and not worth the price, although I suppose it's the best Jamaican food in Lake County.

The owner was incredibly nice! We love the dining room, it’s very chic. The food was great. We will recommend it. The OXTAIL was tender and tasty.
I cannot rate this highly enough this very well was the most amazing meal I've had. The chicken falls off the bone fabulous texture & taste, the rice pairs greatly with the jerk sauce and man that mac n cheese is otherworldly. I love a good mac n cheese and I think it also beat that on my best list and I was not expecting that. If you're reading this and debating on trying it, 20 bucks you get a huge meal (easily 2 servings) and it'll be the best meal you've had in a long time I guarantee that
Amazing, best chicken I had in a LONG time!!
Everything I've tried here has been amazing!! They make the best jerk chicken I've ever had! I highly recommend trying Queens Caribbean Kitchen if you are in the Antioch area as it is leaps and bounds above all the other restaurants in the area.
