Posting this on behalf of my elderly mother that is not good with computers. On 12-13-22 my mother and others from her widows support group had a reservation at 530pm. My mother arrived early at 520pm and was met by the extremely rude manager that reminded her that her reservation was not til 530 and “she can sit over there” and wait til 530. The rest of the party had arrived shortly after and continued to wait. These elderly ladies were attending a play at the nearby Metropolis at 700pm so they had a limited time to eat. As 530 passed, they watched others that had come in after them be seated. One of the ladies went to the host desk and again spoke with the rude manager and politely asked about the status of their table. This manager began yelling and saying “haven’t you ever waited in a restaurant before “ The lady politely told him that she was just checking on the table at which time he continued to yell and ask if they had ever eaten in a restaurant before. He then pointed to my elderly mother and yelled that “that lady had already asked”. My mother informed him that she had just checked in at 520 and was told to sit which she did so and never returned to the desk to ask any further. The manager then reminded them that they were a table of 7 and they need to wait. They asked to speak with a manager at which time he gruffly reminded them that “he is the manager”. This man has no excuse being a manager and apparently has no ability to communicate effectively with people. The owner should be ashamed of this “manager”. You don’t talk to a bunch of elderly ladies the way in which he did. No excuses.

Had lunch here with my wife a couple of days ago. Our waitress Sophia was spot on. Great food, great service, great people.

Armand’s pizza is very large for a single restaurant and for it to have a wait. I came on a Sunday and the wait was 45 minutes. I can understand that but the food took just as long to come out. Appetizers were the best part for me, the mozzarella sticks and zucchini sticks are absolutely perfectly cooked. The pizza is not much better than any other pizzas in the surrounding area. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Great Lunch Experience - a quick trip to Italian Cuisine in your brakeI craved italian food in my lunch break and gave Armand’s Pizzeria a shot. And it was worth it. Nice weather enabled me to sit outside and watch the pedastrians. I ordered a pizza and some tiramisu with the fix and little stressed service - but it was a quite full house, so no complaints here. The pizza was thin and cross as i know it from Italy, with some real olive oil to finish up and gave my taste buds a quick trip to the italian dishes i love. The tiramisu was amazing, not overly sweet but with strong coffee flavour - i just loved it.Started to become a regular guest, cause it’s just worth it.

Really good pizza. A coworker told me about Armand’s and at first I figured they were just another Chicago pizza joint. Then this person mentioned that it’s so good they eat it even though they are lactose intolerant. Basically it’s so good they are willing to get sick from eating it. I agree. The pizza is delicious. If I had an intolerance I would have a hard time saying no to this pizza. Will definitely order again!

I don't make a habit of reviewing businesses unless I have an exceptionally good or an exceptionally bad experience -- unfortunately, this falls into the latter category.I've been to this place a few times since moving into the area a year and a half ago. It has an appealing decor, a wide menu, and moderate prices for the area... but each time I've come, I've found the staff to be particularly unwelcoming and unaccommodating. There have been a combination of circumstances that didn't seem to warrant so much resistance, like: I wanted to order a pizza and sit outside while the restaurant and kitchen were still open, and there were still other people sitting outside, but they wanted to close the outside, so they didn't want me to sit there... It was a beautiful summer night during the pandemic; I was alone and told them I didn't need any service after they brought my food out -- that I would pay upfront and just sit out there for an hour until they closed (these were wire tables with little to clean up...) I ended up sitting out there by some determination, but I think both sides were left with resentment. On my first visit, I had brought my computer and asked when I first walked in if they had wifi. "Yes." Me: "Okay, great!" (After I ordered food) "Could I please get the wifi password?"Hostess: "Oh, I don't know it." Then, after prompted to ask another employee passing by, who was similarly unconcerned, "Yeah, I don't know." I understand that things don't always run smoothly in a place, but a lack of effort or demonstration of interest in trying to help a paying customer is off-putting.On my third try, there was again an issue about where to sit... I came to work while I ate and wanted to plug my laptop in -- there was one table that had an outlet near the front, and I was told that they were closing down that section soon. The part that remained open was noisy and crowded, and I didn't see an outlet there. I asked again if it would be possible to just sit toward the front of the main section where the outlet was and eat my sandwich quietly, that they didn't need to wait on me after I got my food. (It didn't seem terribly imposing, since this wasn't a remote section where they'd have to go out of their way to keep an eye on me...) Again, I was told no. Eventually, I ordered a sandwich to go, and by the time I left the place, there was still another party sitting chatting in the area where I had asked to sit. While leaving, I noticed a different menu and thought that I might've been overcharged for a takeaway sandwich (since the charge was $3 more than the price I'd seen on the menu when I ordered). I looked at my receipt, and the hostess explained that dining in prices were different than take-away. So I pointed out that I had just ordered takeaway. She paused, and instead of apologizing or saying "let me check on that," she grabbed a copy of the menu I had ordered from and offered a blanket, "Yeah, we have a newer menu." Even if this was the case, a friendlier response would've made the difference.I've been a server and know that working with the public all day long in food/bev/retail is not easy. I understand that some rules are necessary, prices are prices, and I would never tell someone to re-open a whole kitchen or section just for me. But during each of these visits, I felt that my requests were pretty reasonable and unobtrusive, and they were all met with a kind of dismissal at best or disdain at worst. Every time I've eaten here, I've walked out feeling a combination of embarrassment and resentment, even though I've always been considerate and kind in my dealings with the staff.Clearly, this is just not the place for me, and I don't plan to go back. But it's disappointing for a local business that could otherwise be great.Sorry, Armando's -- I couldn't help but snort to myself a bit when I noticed the sign on the wall

I had my sons rehearsal dinner here and we could NOT have been more satisfied with the service, food and the private room. I worked with Pete who was very helpful and kind. Fiona and Janette, our wait staff, was absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend Armands when looking for a private party setting. Definitely will be eating here soon. Thanks for everything! Best thin crust pizza in the area. Pizza Nova also a solid choice. Melrose pepper salad is a favorite. On street dining makes picking up carry out difficult.

Got two pizzas from here, cheese and the western one. Picked up and they came burnt. What are you guys sleeping while the pizza is being made? Especially the western, we took a few bites of some of the slices and had to throw the rest out. We used to love Armands but this is not ok especially for the price.

We love Armand's! They have a great patio and overall atmosphere. We were there recently and when we got our pizza, the server forgot to bring out plates. While we were trying to flag her down another employee noticed and brought us plates without needing to ask. Great service!

Seriously short staffed. Walked up on a Monday . We were told that it would be 30 min wait for a table. We had no problem with that. Actually, it was an hour because it was taking so long for people to get their food and the tables weren't turning over. We waited because we wanted Italian food. We sat outside . When we were finally seated, it took quite awhile for h20 and bread. Our server was running in and out with having too many tables . She did her best under the circumstances but the food took 2 hours to get to our table. We kept thinking it would come out at any minute. Maybe we should've left, but at that point we had already invested so much time and were starving. The food was just ok . Better in previous visits . Not going back. I understand many businesses are understaffed but then they should have fewer tables available. The servers are overworked.

Food: 4 StarService: 3 StarAmbiance: 4 StarValue: 3 StarWe ate here for dinner on a Thursday evening. Service was slow and we waited 15 minutes before a server stopped by and greeted us. The chicken limone was good. The baked mostaccioli was average.
