An idyllic coffee destination placed comfortably by the tracks near Arlington Station, it is the only logical place to spend your morning preparing for the daily grind.
Staff is friendly and welcoming, the coffee is quality (unlike Starbucks) and the ambiance is inescapably a part of the small town charm of downtown Arlington Heights.
Grab a cup, bring a book. Get some emails knocked out. Ask that cute girl to grab some tea with you. People watch whomever rolls through. Write a novel. Whatever you like to do while enjoying coffee, you can do here!

Fantastic local coffee shop conveniently located near the AH metro station and downtown. Pretty easy street parking available since it’s the corner unit, and has excellent matcha lattes! My sister was wanting latte art and the barista did his best. Wonderful cozy atmosphere! My son got an Ube donut with Oreo but it was kinda dry. Wouldn’t recommend.

Usually get latte or iced latte and it is always good. Occasionally get a donut, etc. and those are always fresh. The owner is friendly. (My wife and I once got caught there in a sudden downpour. He gave us his umbrella and told us to bring it back next time we were in. You don't get that kind of service at Starbucks.)

Really love this place parking was a bit daunting but eventually I parked on the street. I got a peach lemonade with iced tea and it was very very delicious. Then I got a hazelnut latte with some mocha. Also delicious. A bit loud when they make the Frappuccino but still very nice experience and would come back.

This is my favorite coffee shop in the burbs! There is something so gentle and loving about the atmosphere. The menu contains a variety of delicious drinks (try out a homemade taro donut and the lavender latte iced!)… I returned to Around Cafe in July 2024 after having been away for some years - still the BEST coffee shop ever and the Lavender Iced Latte I always used to get tasted the SAME. Will return when I am able. I wish there were more all around the burbs :)
