Went in looking for an egg sandwich. They were out. Got a pizza pastry. It was good. Nothing special. Price was right. Less then $3.

Anyone who is looking for a Japanese bakery, this is a place! Very close to mitsuwa and so much cheaper and better quality bread. The milk breads are so fluffy and soft. Definitely a hidden gem.

Nice small Japanese bakery. We've had the Yakisoba, the pork cutlet sandwich, the ham and cheese sandwich, a chocolate pastry, an apple pastry, and a custard pastry. They were all very good. I thought the bakery was closed as I was looking at the empty place next door. Entry door to Bakery Crescent is next to cake bakery. One word of caution: if you want to order bento boxes or other lunch items you must call in ahead and order and pick up later.

Terrific hidden gem! Tried this place on a recommendation online from a post I asked about egg salad sandwiches. The egg sandwiches I was finding were lacking the "eggyness" I wanted but this place does it right. The offering they have with ham is awesome and I have returned for it numerous times. The bread they use for the sandwich is great, which made me want to try their white loafs and I was not disappointed. I've also had a few of their pastries and everything has been quite tasty.

Bakery Crescent is open! Just stopped by with some friends and bought some of their authentic pastries. They did post a sign saying they are not open on Mondays and Tuesdays after January 24, 2024.

Great Japanese style bakery at an affordable price. My favorite is the Cream Pan. Go support this local family owned business!

Best Japanese pastry, bun, bento box in Illinois. Heck, it's even better than some of the pastry shop in Japan. If you want to place order for hot food, please order 30 minutes ahead. Master chef prepare hot meals fresh after you place the order, Is it worth the wait? I would wait 1 hour if I have to. It's that good. It's a family owned business. Their price is ridiculously inexpensive. Bento box of the day is $8.75. Where on earth in Illinois can you find a freshly made to order bento box made by real Japanese professional pastry baker/chef for $8.75. That's 90s price without inflation. The only reason I can't post what I ate, because I couldn't wait to take pictures. I ate it all.... This place is a treasure box. Please be kind .

The food is excellent, fresh pastries, breads, and more, and you really can't beat the prices! So affordable! ^^ I love their durian cream, it can be hard to find such a unique flavor. They pull it off masterfully. I'll be trying their bento of the day on my next visit!

Nice little bakery place which offer awesome home made style of bakeries. One baker, an experienced older gentleman which baked all of their products, twice daily. Once earlier morning before store opens, another in the afternoon depending which products are low for sales. That makes their items fresh and delicious. Their product items are not unique meaning commonly found in most bakery store.Their unique product, which can be called it, is their soft French bread.Highly recommended to try their baked goods at least once to determine its worthless for return patronize.
