Gerry's Cafe

I cannot say enough good things about Gerry’s. THIS is what every neighborhood needs. This place is so much more than the coffee and food items…it is an anchor for the disabled community. It is a safe space for people to come and be themselves. It is a warm environment where everyone is truly welcome. As a sibling to an adult with Down syndrome, I am so grateful there is a place we can go and eat and spend time where I don’t have to worry about other people’s reactions to my brother and his behaviors. This is a place where I can relax and we can truly enjoy our time without anxiety.

I wish this place was bigger so more people could be accommodated. I would love to throw a birthday party here! Thank you to all of Gerry’s hardworking staff! Thank you for creating beautiful change in the northwest suburbs. I would love to see more Gerry’s cafes open across the Chicagoland area! (I would selfishly love some vegan food options. That way I could spend even more time and money here!)

The shop is so cute. We had a peppermint mocha and a gingerbread chai; both delicious. The sweet heat sandwich was yummy. Staff is welcoming. Highly recommend. 🫰

It is always a pleasure going to Gerry’s. The employees are always there to help you and go out of their way for you. The food and coffee is great, and we always try to stop in at least once a week. The managers are fantastic, what a great experience.

I highly recommend this cafe. They have amazing pastries and are a fabulous nonprofit organization. I recently placed an order via email for an event (for a class presentation I was giving) and communication was fast and easy. Everything was ready to go when I picked it up, and my whole class enjoyed the scones, duffins and muffins. Pricing was very reasonable and the quality was excellent. Thank you so much. I will definitely be back to order more again!

We have never been here but they have the sweetest workers and the food and sweets were so delicious! It was so worth the trip over an hour drive but I would highly recommend this place to everyone! You will not be at all disappointed and we will be back!

Everyone was so sweet we ordered the flourless brownie, blueberry muffin, chocolate stone and mocha frap. It was absolutely so delicious and drove over an hour to come here and super worth it. I will be coming back soon
