Heard all about the beef online figured I give it a whirl. Beef seemed old / over cooked. Lacked flavor. Fries were good and service was fast. I've had better beefs

Seems to me like the Italian beefs get thinner and thinner each time I go. Last time I went I felt I was eating more bread than meat. Still had a good flavor but upset about quantity of meat. Not sure I will go back anytime soon.

I grew up going to the original location in Elmwood Park. I was happy to see a second location open in Arlington Heights. And this location has indoor seating! I moved out of state, so a good beef sandwich is always a treat. I have been to this location several times and even introduced others to this delicacy. Their combo (beef and charcoal grilled sausage, with sweet peppers) always delivers the goods. Either I never knew how much flavor the sausage added to the sandwich, or something has changed. This time, I ordered a beef with sweet peppers. It was totally lacking flavor. Just gray, bland beef. The chopped sweet peppers were awesome, as usual. Maybe it was an off day, or my tastebuds were asleep. I’ll give them another try on my next visit. The moral of the story may be to always get a combo.

Old school experience. Fast service amazing food! Beef Sandwich was amazing, a bag of fries, and a Watermelon Italian Ice was sooo good. Amazing value for the money. They definitely do not let you leave hungry!

The manager or owner working the register yesterday evening 08/07/25 at around 1700 hrs needs to work on the attitude and customer service. Wanted 2.00 for a bigger paper cup to fit the Italian Ice in, because we had to leave on a public service call. Ridiculous
