Best bakery ever. I have been going there for years. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
Tried out about 6 different things from the bakery. Everything was delicious. Some sort of crepe cake slice was the star of the show. Well done! I'll be back.
We tried two slices of cake and two pastries. The cakes were absolutely amazing — so light, fluffy, and delicious! We’ll definitely be coming back for more and can’t wait to try other flavors. The pastries looked beautiful, but we weren’t big fans of the filling — it had a pudding-like texture that just wasn’t to our taste. Still, that’s a personal preference, so I’m not taking off any stars for it!
Super Cute bakery, sometimes they have little baked goods in the shape of a turtle or crab, filled with chocolate cream. their donuts are nice and fresh, i have yet to try the Loaves of bread themselves but they always look and feel nice and spongey. a great place to get a quick snack
So good! we bought 7 buns and all were amazing! lady on a register was the sweetest!! thank you and definitely recommend
No criticism of the bakery, but DO NOT TRY TO GO TO THE WEBSITE.
Followed the link in a Google Search to visit the website of this bakery.
Was hit by a scam attack seizing the screen of the computer, playing a false Microsoft Windows alert message (on a Chromebook?!?) demanding a call to a toll free number to unlock the computer.
What a great bakery. Shokupan and danish toast were my must buy. It’s also good to try some cute and sweet Japanese breads. Besides, they now have toast crudest for sale, only 80 cents for a huge bag of crust. I made buttery crispy bread with the crust. Amazingly good. Would like to buy out all the crust next time here.
It was amazing walking in cause I could smell the baked goods when I was passing by. I went in with my Mom and Sister and got some Croissants, cakes and other breads ( I wasn’t paying attention I just picked out the really pretty ones )
And the service was awesome! I was kinda super nervous cause I didn’t really know how to do transactions/purchases with the tablets they were using and the Cashiers handled it awesomely and they were super handsome and pretty the lady serving the customers next to us had really nice eye shadow, and the guy serving my family was really handsome he had a nice face and his glasses really complimented his face.

Great bakery here!
I’ve lived in Chicago for 27 years and tried many other bakeries around the area. In my honest opinion this is the best bakery in town as I’ve known this bakery for long enough. I was told by the staff that their bread and cakes are freshly made with quality ingredients and no preservatives, so safe for a kid. My little ones and friends of mine love this store too. Here is a picture that I bought today and are my favorites.
Try not to get misled by the other reviewers, I’d just like to share my experience with somebody who has never been to this bakery. Just try this store because that’s the quickest way to understand what I mean here.
Went there in the morning which was the best time to be at the bakery for fresh warm bread!!

FOUND A DEAD FRUIT FLY IN A BAG OF BREAD! I purchased a loaf of milk bread on Friday, 9/13/2024. I opened the bag to to make a sandwich on Saturday, 9/13/2024 and noticed a black spot on the end of the loaf. Upon inspecting the spot closely, I realized it was a dead fruit fly. I understand it's September and flying insects are unavoidable to a point; however, it is UNACCEPTABLE find a dead fruit fly on a loaf of bread!!!

A small and cute pastry shop inside Mitsuwa Marketplace. I didn't see it advertised, but there's a cash discount. We tried the Cream Puff and Green Tea Mousse and liked them. They’re sweet, but not overly sweet, which is how Asian sweets should be.

They really mean ham and mayo in their ham and mayo bun! They are tasty though. Highly recommend the coffee bun and the beautiful apple cream bun.

This is a great place for traditional Japanese white sliced bread or choose your own pastry assortment. Very delicious and welcoming! I recommend the chocolate custard turtle.
