Pastry House Hippo is the highlight of every Mitsuwa shopping trip. Their pastries, breads and sandwiches are out of this world. The staff are always efficient and polite, no matter how busy they are.
The red bean pastries are really sweet. The apple pastry was the best. Surprised it was as sweet as the red bean pastries. There's so many baked goods to get. And the loaves of bread are so soft.
We tried two slices of cake and two pastries. The cakes were absolutely amazing — so light, fluffy, and delicious! We’ll definitely be coming back for more and can’t wait to try other flavors. The pastries looked beautiful, but we weren’t big fans of the filling — it had a pudding-like texture that just wasn’t to our taste. Still, that’s a personal preference, so I’m not taking off any stars for it!
