Delicious, so much flavor and cooked perfectly. Definitely a place I will come to whenever I am around the area.
Very disappointed in this restaurant. I was excited to try this new restaurant and made reservations for Friday at 7. I called at 2:50 and they "put me in". I called at 5 when they open to change my reservation from 3 people to 4 people. When I called the second time I could tell that they didn't understand and though I was making a reservations for 7 people. I don't even know if they looked me up the second time.My friends showed up at 650 and used my name that I had but it under and suprise they didn't have my reservations. When I got there I showed how I called twice and the hosted looked up my resi but found nothing. She didn't even apologize or say sorry or try to get my group of 4 in. Not sure if I try this place. We ended up going to Carol's and Carol's and had a delious meal and where seated as soon as we walked in. Also didn't leave hungry like I saw on some other reviews for the same price. If you want to make reservations I guess use the online portion since when you call you don't get a reservations.

Server was awesome, made great recommendations and was very attentive. The kitchen seems very single-threaded, a single entree would be served, followed five minutes later by the next, and so on... But the food was absolutely delicious and WELL WORTH the wait! Octopus was perfectly cooked, tender, just melted in the mouth... Chocolate halva dessert was likewise delicious, a light and tasty treat topped with threads of cotton candy!Por Tanto is a great addition to downtown Arlington Heights!

A cozy spot in DT Arlington Heights, feels like you're in the city. Delicious food and drinks. Servers were attentive and knowledgeable. Filled up on a couple plates (hummus, meatballs, salad) with a friend and enjoyed the sangria. Can't wait to go back!

This place does not look like much from outside, but once inside, it’s like you’re transformed into a Mediterranean restaurant. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and helpful with dishes. We enjoyed the cheese and meat appetizer, which is kind of like tapas. We shared the Dorado, which was amazing, and the risotto was cooked to perfection.
Parking: There are several options for parking. You might have to walk a block from the garage, but there should be plenty of parking here.

Beautiful space and the food was good! I went with a few other women and we shared apps and a salad and everything was delicious. Would be a great place for a date night too!

Very nice place. We tried only appetizers, but there were delicious. We will definitely come back to try their entrees.
The food was amazing. We're still talking about our dinner the next day. We had the meatball app with tzatziki. The best tzatziki I've had in my 40 something years. For dinner I had the octopus, sausage, tomato & couscous. My husband had the chicken skewer with pita & fries. We were both delighted. The service was a little slow and if the restaurant was full, it might be overwhelming with how close the tables are together. With the quality of the food, neither of those will stop us from returning.

I never write reviews but Por Tanto was amazing! Perfect for date night & everything was so fresh. Will be a regular here for sure.
Cool restaurant idea, but we spent over 100$ for two people without drinks and left hungry. Some of the food wasn’t cooked all the way and the menu is very deceiving with what and how much is given. We informed the waiter of the food not being cooked and we were told they would tell the kitchen about it only.

Service was a tad slow but the food was excellent, execution of everything we had was 10/10. I was surprised, I wasn’t expecting the meal to be executed so well from start to finish. Can’t wait to come again and try other selections.

Por Tanto is an absolute game-changer for dining in Arlington Heights. The lamb shank gyro and octopus were out of this world - honestly, some of the best dishes I've had in the Northwest Suburbs. It's not just the food that shines, but the whole vibe of the place feels upscale, making it perfect for date night. It's hard to find restaurants that deliver on both flavor and atmosphere, but Por Tanto nails it. If you haven't been yet, trust me, you're missing out on a culinary gem.A must-visit spot in AH!
