First time for myself and family coming. Had the tonkotsu udon. Very flavorful and noodles were cooked to perfection. And customer service was excellent. Very professional and fast. Can't wait to come back.

Great udon noodles, but horrible customer service. The girl cashier had an attitude while calling customers fools as they struggled to check out.

The food is ok. I got the beef udon and it was cold. They serve food the fastest compared to the other restaurants in the food market (court) area. However, the worst is the girl serving everyone's food. She got a lot of attitude and giving everyone eyes roll. She repeated the order wrong back to me so when I corrected her and she responded by shaking her head at me. I'm sorry Spanish is your first language but I gave the order using the number and you said repeated back incorrectly. Just smile and fix the order that's all you have to do. Not behave like a little cunt. Maybe this place is desperate for help. But, she does not need to work there anymore.

Absolutely love getting my tempura and just recently got the courage to try the udon and it did not disappoint. You can see them make and cook the udon fresh. Love the shrimp, lotus root, onion, and sweet potato tempura. Would love it if they added shredded carrot to their tempura offerings but they have a great variety as it is.

I drive 90 minutes just to wait in line for this udon shop. I've had both hot and cold udon bowls here and always regret not getting the larger size! The noodles are chewy and such a good texture. The broths are always delicious and flavorful. I'm in love with all the tempura options, from veggies to eggs, as well as fried chicken. Service is always fast so the line moves faster than expected. The prices are also quite reasonable. Highly recommend!

If you're seeing this review twice... it's bc it's in 2 places since I'm not sure which page gets looked at more. This quick food stop is located in the food court of mitsuwa. There are a few udon options to pick which protein you'd like and also if you'd like your soup hot or cold. There are also tempura sides you are able to grab (additional price) on your own. The udon noodles are fresh and taste deliciously homemade. This is reasonably priced but can get expensive if you decide to add multiple tempura sides.

Got the kane udon with the onion, sweet potato, and shrimp tempura. You first get your udon (picking either regular or large size), and then pick out from the variety of different tempuras that they have, and then top your udon with the flakes and green onion. The taste was pretty good, not the best I’ve had but decent. The total was around $11.

Stayed in the area for an internship. Never in my wildest dreams think I would get hooked and crave udon and I’ve been eating udon throughout my life. One of the best udons I’ve had. My favorite is the kitsune. The broth is deep and flavorful and the fish cakes is so good. I love adding the tempura crumbs to the broth and getting a sweet potato tempura on the side.

There's a decent selection of toppings, but the broth was not hot at all. Pretty disappointing for an udon restaurant.

The line moved at a decent pace at 2 pm on a Saturday. The line was shorter than most of the food stalls. You order, wait to receive the bowl, pick your tempura toppings and pay at the end. It is all done in one line. If the person's order in front of you is long, then the line won't move. When you pay at the end, you can ask for a cup of water and add toppings such as scallions, red pepper, sesame seeds, etc. My spicy tonkatsu udon came out hot and spicy. (It was spicier than the spicy curry udon.) There was 2 pieces of tonkatsu. The tonkatsu was juicy and yummy, but I wished there were more pieces. I got the regular size, and I finished the udon in about 5 bites. It was definitely delicious, but for the price, I would try something else on the menu. The food court is packed and loud on a Saturday lunch time. I would recommend finding an open table and have someone order for you.

My friend and I stopped by Mitsuwa this Tuesday evening before my flight back home. What a fantastic choice! The cafeteria had a lot of various vendors selling mainly Japanese food, and sanukiseimen was one of them. The udon here is already pre-made. As in, you order your udon and they will assemble it immediately after with the already cooked udon, broth, and whatever topping/meat options you asked for. They also have a "get-it-yourself" toppings bar and you'll be charged for whatever you get. I got the small KITSUNE UDON which was under 7.00 (pre-tax). For what it was, it's not bad. You get a good amount of udon (a bit soggy), three well-marinated fried tofus and warm udon broth. I was craving warm broths, so this hit the spot. Sadly, they were already out of eggs for the day, otherwise I would have gotten one with my udon. Cheap and quick eats, for it is, it's not too bad.

This place is amazing. Best udon you can get in the whole state, I swear. I drive 45 minutes for the Tonkatsu Udon. I would drive more. I would drive to Japan for this food. I would make it work. I would lay my life on the line for this udon. I would sacrifice my first born child for a bowl right now. Do not understand how this place doesn’t have 5 stars, it deserves 7 for the food alone. The guy who’s always there is always very kind and attentive to his customers, and the tempura is consistently good. Highly recommend!

Poor quality on recent visit. I ordered the Beef Curry Udon. The noodles were overcooked. The beef was not in the traditional Japanese style and received essentially some slices from a beef roast with no seasoning. The broth lacked flavor, it was mostly water with a hint of seasoning. Quality used to be so much better here. Will not be ordering from here again.
