Great place for traditional Japanese food. We drive from the city to this area since this area has the best Japanese food. Great bento box options, upon, katsu curry, and little touches like fruit or a sweet rice cake set out to cleanse your palette after your meal. Very friendly staff and delicious food at affordable prices.

I always make a stop here before flying out of OâHare. Everything is incredibly fresh and tasty, but the karaage chicken really stands out, itâs perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The service is excellent too!

Cozy, homey place where you can relax and enjoy the food like at home. Found this place recently and went quite a few times now. Miso katsu was very good and their series of ramen is above average, a lot better than those random sushi places that serves prepped ramen from their vendors. There is no services to mention since its all self serve and almost self clean before you go kind of place but lady at the cashier has good smile. If you try them once, youâll want to go back. Oh, dont forget to try their pudding!
This place uses the microwave to serve its customers.
They have delicious casual Japanese set meals. The taste is authentic, and the price is good. It's my favorite place to satisfy my hambagu cravings đ

Second visit from Chicago downtown. This place is a true gem. If it werenât so far from downtown weâd be here everyday.

This quirky little place tucked away in a tiny strip mall off Golf Road was somewhat confusing. The staff couldnât quite explain what the special was and the menu on the screen and the one on its website were different, not to mention the appetizers were only posted on the wall. As for the food, ramen dishes were truly remarkable. But the same couldnât be said for bento - both salmon and Mackerel were extremely dry. Given that there are many Japanese food options around the area, they would have to up the game on bento for them to be considered for a revisit.

Used to be a hidden gem with some of the best ramen around, but after changing hands the quality of the food has gone down. The deep fried tempura had oil leftover on the plate, and the flavor of the miso ramen was overly salty with an odd aftertaste. Topping off the bowl were 3 slightly cold chashu slices and the noodles were a bit too hard as they had not had enough time to absorb the broth base. The chashu is of good size but the overall flavor was so disappointing that I could not finish my bowl.
Environment is clean and no frills, very comfortable with free water. Service is nice but a bit unfamiliar with the new menu. The new menu has increased the number of desserts though, which is a good update!

Teriyaki chicken with chicken breast was such a turn off. With ingredients like this, the lunch was overpriced.
