I had a last minute request for a medium sized cupcake order and the team at Sweet T's was up for the challenge. I can't thank you enough for accommodating my order changes last minute and doing this with a smile on your faces. The order was for the Case Management team at NW Community Hospital and I knew that ordering quality items from Sweet T's would be just perfect and it was! I've been here a few times throughout the years. Today, I was extremely disappointed. Two of the three cupcakes I bought were hard/stale. I actually threw it out after 1 bite, as a cupcake lover I have never thrown away a cupcake until today.

I had a terrible experience at sweet T’s Bakery. On Wednesday at 11:13am I called to have a 6 inch cake made for today. I followed up with an email once the phone call ended to provide inspiration photos. Today, I went to the bakery only for the order to not be found. I of course got a little frustrated because I needed the cake for this morning. The baker/decorater came out to speak to me who is the owner of the bakery, Tammy Montesinos, and asked me how did I place the order on Wednesday. I re-explained to her that I called and then followed up with an email with 3 inspiration photos. She kept on repeating that “I needed to call the bakery in order to place the order.” I kept repeating that I did call and followed up with an email. She then proceeded to slam her binder on the counter top, screamed out “You are a B****” and walked away. I was floored and shocked. I asked the young ladies who were working there for the managers email and they responded with quite the attitude “that is public information” While I never write bad reviews, this I could not let slide. Absolutely disgusting behavior and by the owner nonetheless! I HIGHLY would not recommend going there.

Haven't been there myself. This is for the service my wife received when she was there. Impeccable, empathic. It was a difficult time and small acts of kindness goes a long way.

This review is long overdue. I did not get the name of the girl whose kindness and thoughtfulness that day made such a difference! I was pre-occupied. If she reads this review, she may remember.

On August 28, 2025 - 6:00pm or so, I arrived not realizing it was closed. They only just closed. I got to the door, this young lady informed me they were closed. I said ok, she must have seen the look on my face and she asked what I was looking for. I said a couple of cup cakes, really. Maybe 4 if there's more. At the risk of her co-workers' ire, she allowed me entry. Her co-workers were looking at each other with disapproval, but they didn't say a word.
I completely understand. It was the end of their shift, they still had some clean-up to do before they could leave.

The girl who let me in packed up a few pretty cupcakes I selected and rang me out. I didn't have cash to tip her, but I wish I had. Perhaps next time I come by, I will see her again and thank her.

There's no way she could have known, but after a full day at the office, I had driven an hour to get to that area to visit my aunt who was in recovery. My aunt is very dear to me and we share a love of cup cakes and pretty confections. It was important because I already promised her I would stop to get some. It was late, I didn't have a lot of time to find another place that possibly had pretty treats, I had a couple of hours to visit with my aunt and an hour drive home.

Although she is young, your employee had the presence of mind to show kindness, go against what the majority might have done, and in so doing - without her knowing - made such a difference that day! See my aunt's face and how happy she is.

I wish I knew the girl's name, I've been calling her the Sunflower girl. I didn't want to press too much, but I wanted to leave this here. Thank you to the Sunflower girl for being kind, for being a ray of sunshine!

I left 4 stars for food because I didn't have any of the food, so I couldn't attest to that. The cupcakes were delicious!
4 stars for atmosphere because I liked what I saw, but didn't get a chance to really get a feel for the atmo during business hours.

Ordered two large cakes. 12” for a 50th wedding anniversary and a 10” for a birthday. The cakes were amazing. Beautifully decorated and everyone raved about the taste. Received wonderful help in choosing the correct size and decorations for the cakes. Couldn’t be happier.

Made cups cakes for Moms 80th in the shape of the number. Colors request were spot on, ready to pick up when walked in door. Customer service on the phone & in shop were great!

I traveled from Michigan to Illinois to celebrate my daughter’s first birthday. Sweet t’s bakery made my daughter’s cake so beautiful and detail oriented. Being that we are from another state we were skeptical but this bakery outdid us! Thank you so much to all of the staff, including the owner who is very helpful and diligent to her work!

This bakery makes such good and STUNNING desserts. My wedding cake was absolutely beautiful. AND I love how affordable they are- they always beat the price of other neighborhood bakeries. Such a gem in Arlington Heights

Unfortunately, not the experience I imagined. For the prices and being a bakery the items were NOT good at all and the customer service is lacking. You feel like you bother them for coming in... not a great atmosphere in general.

Disappointed Experience!
I was really looking forward to enjoying a cake I purchased from this bakery, but unfortunately, I found a hair in it. It was extremely off-putting and embarrassing, especially since it was meant for a special occasion. I expected a higher level of cleanliness and quality. I hope this is addressed seriously so others do not have to be embarrassed.
I picked up my cake 6/28 and have been calling daily, with no one answering the phone ever.

Custom, beautifully decorated cakes that are so delicious you won’t have leftovers.

Nice spot for a sweet treat. One item I tried was a little bit dry, but overall a good experience.

Absolutely nailed the cake design. Will be using for other events. Thank you!
