Food was good, especially the chicken katsu curry, the chicken kaarage, and the rice balls. There is a young lady who works there named Nate. She was exceptionally friendly and kind. Great place to grab a quick meal.

Since it was prepackaged, I had their teriyaki spam onigiri for a snack. It features rice, spam, egg omelette wrapped in seaweed and covered with teriyaki sauce. It has a great sweet and savory flavor, but I think it would be better if the spam had been cooked so that it had a nice crispy texture. I wish it was warm instead of chill.Their chicken katsu egg with curry was my main course. The chicken was cooked in conjunction with an egg, which made it lose its crispy texture even though the chicken was tender and well breaded. The curry tastes amazing and has a texture that I enjoy, but it seems bland compared to other curry I've had that included carrots, potatoes, onions, and pulled meat.

I tried Tokyo Shokudo for the first time in the Mitsuwa Market last week - it was just okay. My girlfriend did not like the chicken cutlet bowl she said the meat just was weird. I had the spicy beef bowl - it was okay but the beef was just warm not hot which makes me think it wasn't really that fresh. They give you a ton of rice in the bowls here. Maybe I will try something else from here next time, also don't go at noon on a Saturday it's way too crowded you will be waiting a very long time and will have to wait longer to get a table to eat at.

food is pretty good here. some dishes are better than others tho. since this place is in the Mitsuwa food court, there are other better options for noodles imo. come here for curry, and the side of fried oysters.pictured is the Maze Soba, it was decent.

This place is my go to in the Mitsuwa foodcourt. I love all the onigiri (karaage and shrimp tempura are great), better than the cold ones in the market. Mazesoba is delicious and my favorite meal there. Karaage and other fried foods are really good. Most food are priced fairly compared to what you might get in a sit down or chicago restaurant. I also like that they open earlier than others in the foodcourt, while closing a bit later.

Great Japanese curry; you can't go wrong. I feel like the ramen shop in Mitsuwa gets so much clout that a lot of other shops go a little unnoticed (just a little though, all the shops do well). This place has great menu items at a decent price though so why not give this place a shot. Service is okay but you just go up and order, so what do you really need? It's a food court in a supermarket, so honestly I feel like anything under 4 stars, people are just overreacting or being snobby. Sorry if I hurt someone's feelings, but that's just my opinion. If you're looking for award winning food and service, maybe expand to outside of a supermarket.

Nice staff most of the timeFood is pretty good, although pricey

I guess I have to set some facts straight since there are some fake profiles on here. The employees don’t ignore customers, once you figure out what you want to order you just tell the cashier. Food doesn’t take that long, remember they’re not making you chicken nuggets and French fries. Food is pretty decent. Pricing is moderate since there is inflation and places are short staffed.Oysters were good, juicy on the inside. I ordered cha siu maze soba Tokyo style. Noodles with the sauce were a little salty but definitely not unbearable. The cha siu was not chewy. Jumbo shrimp curry was good. Curry sauce has a nice robust taste especially combined with the rice. Shrimp was tasty.

It was just ok like the three star rating. Nothing really special to me. I got the food after shopping in the grocery store. I saw a long waiting line and thought this would be good. But the curry I ordered was not tasty at all. I had to force myself to finish just so I don't waste food. Would I come back again? No. The food court does have a lot of seating area but when it got super busy, you will need to wait and search to find a spot to sit. So avoid rush hours plz.

The front desk service is super bad, the guests want to order, their staff ignores your existence, and the food is super slow, and it tastes bad, and the price is expensive, very disappointed, the price is not in line with the food, the food is so bad, I hope you don't come to this restaurant.

One of the food court stalls at Mitsuwa Marketplace in Arlington Heights. They offer wide variety of curry and udon that are quite delicious. Perhaps not quite up to par with solid Japanese restaurants around the area but for a food court food, it is quite good. There are many other good stalls in the place including ramen, Korean, and boba places so it is worth checking out others as well.
