A great place to have a leisurely lunch in downtown Arlington Heights. Service is attentive yet not rushing. The food is good and fairly priced. A mixture of booths and tables makes for convenient conversations. Give it a try!

Came here to try a new Breakfast place. Small local restaurant in the heart of Arlington Heights. Everything was cooked perfectly. Great price and portions. Well kept and clean. Owners are very nice and very welcoming. Will definitely be back to try other menu items.

Although it's dated and you can smell the old mop used on the bathroom floor. The food is excellent. The service is good but I think it's time for a babysitter for the little one. I get it.... times are tough but.......Parking: If you can park in the street. The parking behind the building is horrible

I recommend the Eggs Florentine.Their hash browns are cooked with some kind of smash method, so if you like your potatoes with a lot of browned crispy bits, you'll enjoy theirs. All the staff was very kind to me. Very busy at lunch time, very energizing.

Typical old school diner food - very reasonably priced and they know how to make well done hash browns, a hard thing to find!

Traditional, rustic, family owned breakfast/lunch place. Long time staple of Arlington Heights. I hope they keep going, I feel a great familiar vibe in this place ... Food is good (what you'd expect from a traditional American brunch place) and fairly priced. Staff and owners are very friendly.

This is a cute family cafe that feels quite a part of the community it serves. The food was tasty, plentiful, and reasonably priced and was offered in a friendly atmosphere. We each had a skillet. One had a Texas Skillet and the other a Veggie Skillet. The coffee was very good and overall a great experience. So the next time you are in the neighborhood and looking for a good breakfast option or a lunch stop, do check out this great place. You’ll be glad you did.

I had the homemade mushroom/barley soup which was delicious! The side salad was very fresh, although could use a few more veggies. We had a lovely waitress. All the staff were pleasant and wanted to know if our meal met with our satisfaction. The restaurant was clean. Having dined at another local brunch spot the previous week that was deafeningly noisy, I really appreciated the ambiance and ability to have a conversation without shouting across the table. It's a reasonably priced, neighborhood restaurant. Looking forward to returning!

My all time favorite breakfast and lunch restaurant. Food is great and the ambience exudes a family friendly atmosphere. Be careful ordering a hamburger for it's enough for two people or one hungry rugby player. My goal this year is to eat through the entire menu. So far every bite of every item has been delicious. All washed down with bottomless coffee.

We've been going to Uptown Cafe for years. I like the "home like" atmosphere of this place, with what appears to be a mural of the owner's family painted around the ceiling perimeter. The food and service are usually good here as well.
