Stopped here during our road trip and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The food and service were excellent. I ordered the Wisconsin sandwich a brat burger topped with sauerkraut and it was outstanding.

This place was a FIND! Seems like it is in the middle of nowhere, but this restaurant was fantastic with a really cool atmosphere, a beautiful setup, and fantastic food. If you pass by this place on the interstate without stopping by and giving their food a try, you are making a mistake. They also have a few RV spots on site with specials included at the diner. All in all, fantastically friendly and tasty!

Cameron, Dee, and their family provide a warm and inviting environment! The food is excellent, and the atmosphere feels very welcoming. We enjoyed our two-day stay through Harvest Host and were sad to leave. We're SO grateful our Road Life Adventure brought us here and highly recommend visiting them on your journey. 💕🚐
Over the past five years of our full-time Road Life Adventure, it has become rare to encounter such welcoming, joyful, and fun-loving people like we met at Beans & Barley Brews — not just the owners and staff, but also our new Harvest Host friends. ♥️
Cameron and Dee, the owners, and their family were incredibly gracious. Words can't fully express how amazing they are. The home-cooked food is among the best, the selection of local beers is incredible, the staff were fantastic, and the entire restaurant is captivating. It felt like home and family! We also met two wonderful HH couples. We spent hours laughing with Kent and Kathy and forming a new, unexpected friendship. All of us riffed on each other while sharing about life.
I was sad to leave after two days of such a beautiful experience. 😢 The only way to sum it up better is with a video we'll publish. The only way to experience it is to visit them. If you don't, you'll miss something very special.

Amazing little stop we use on the way from the north heading to Champaign. The family that runs is a wonderful crew so welcoming. They have a wonderful selection of sandwiches coffee and drinks. Today we shared a Ruben and grabbed a mocha and a chai to go. Worth a visit if you are passing through.

Loved our stay at Beans & Barley as a Harvest Hosts member. The restaurant was closed when we arrived , however our hosts graciously offered a light supper. The hosts were friendly , food was delicious, and servers were very personable at breakfast. We will definitely be returning!

We stayed here in our RV under the 'Harvest Host' program. The owners are awesome and their restaurant serves wonderful breakfast and lunch. If you are traveling I-57 you owe it to yourself to stop for a meal. Forgot fast food and go for reasonably priced, home cooked, absolutely delicious farm to table!

Tucked away in a small town, this restaurant is a true hidden gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality that makes you feel more like a guest in someone’s home than just another customer. The atmosphere is cozy, welcoming, and beautifully understated, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal.
The food is exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and clearly crafted with care. Their farm-to-table approach shines through in every bite; you can taste the difference that comes from using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The menu strikes the perfect balance between creative dishes and comforting favorites, with each plate thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented.
Service is outstanding. The staff is attentive without ever being intrusive, and they take the time to make sure you’re well taken care of. They’re knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations, which adds to the overall dining experience.
It’s rare to find a place that delivers this level of quality in food, service, and atmosphere all at once—but this restaurant does it effortlessly. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual meal or celebrating a special occasion, it’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back again and again.

We didn't eat here! Wish we could have. After getting detoured for what seemed like eternity we came across this place and we're able to take out grandbaby in and get her freshened up. They had a whole case of scones that looked to die for and the ladies working treated us perfectly. I'm not one to just app in places and use their facilities without purchasing something. But we didn't have much choice on this day. Thank you everyone at beans
