“Came here on a whim as we are from out of town.. asked Google Maps for the nearest restaurant and here is where it took us.I got the Ribeye and some the BBQ pork burger.The steak was perfect. Potato soup was spot on. We will be back if we end up in these neck of the woods again”

“Went with a friend for lunch. Busy place for a Thursday. Owner was tending bar and was very attentive. Talked us both into the daily special. Smash burger and sides. Burger had carmelized onions, two patties and cheese. Fries were small sized crinkle cuts. For $10 it was priced low in our opinion. Don’t be fooled by the exterior. Friendly locals at the bar we sat at. We will be going back.”

“Stopped on the way home from Florida. Worth the short drive to get home cooking. I had a grilled ham and cheese and delicious beef and rice soup (get a cup, not a bowl, because a cup IS a bowl!). My husband got pork tenderloin sandwich with fries, also perfect. The server is super-friendly! Only one other local in the restaurant. Don't miss this place - it's a gem!”

“The tacos were great; they just had everything well balanced; enough fat, enough seasoning, and a good price 3 fat taquitos for $5. They just need to add a small deck or wood pallets by the window so that you don’t drown with the puddle of water in a rainy day. There’s no tables here, you order to go.”

“I waited almost 2 hours for a pizza that was supposed to be delivered in 35-45 minutes. I called to complain. They said the pizza was done and it would be here within 15 minutes. I said fine and hung up as the cashier said goodbye. Waited another 25 minutes and called back. I was given to the manager that said my order was canceled. I was livid! I heard a lot of excuses, but not once did I hear we are sorry or we'll make it right. The manager said something about having a "15 year old" answering the phone, "skeleton crew" and said to call the Paxton Manager "he's there." I called.... no one answered. Blessing in disguise since they are more expensive than Monical's and have ZERO customer service. I will NEVER order again from this place. Sad, but this is one local place that I refuse to support.”

“First time eating here. I will go back but I hope they have their act together a lot better. Very large table come in and sit down directly after I got there they already had their pizzas ready waiting to go and putting them on the table as for me and the other six customers that come in before them we were put on the back burner. I understand they make a big tip off of them but I still have my waitress $8 and I had to put up with the worst service that I could have asked for for the first time. Food was really good though that is the only reason I would go back. As far as the manager goes she did not address the issue she did not even want to talk about it when I brought it up at the cash register poor management is what is going to ruin today's society.”

“My husband and I stopped at the McDonald's in Gilman, Illinois, on our trip to Chicago. We needed to stop and rest our legs. We got an oreo frappe and a free medium French fry with the McDonald's app. It tasted good and the servers were very nice and friendly. It helped us get through the rest of our car ride.”

We're just passing through & felt so surprised by the experience that I had to review it lol. I love BK, but I usually expect a bit of a mess! 5 stars for this one.”
