On our way to Chicago we decided to stop for a bite and found this gem on Yelp. It was a quaint small town restaurant - only locals were there except for us - and it is of course off the highway, but not by much. The meatloaf special was homemade and a generous portion. My wife had the lasagna - filled with delicious sausage, real cheese and a sauce as good as an Italian restaurant. We found the blonde waitress charming and had great service.
This is a very local mom and pop type restaurant. Really great for if you want to order pizza or some other food when you are to lazy to cook. Usually very well priced and good portions. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Stopped on the way home from Florida. Worth the short drive to get home cooking. I had a grilled ham and cheese and delicious beef and rice soup (get a cup, not a bowl, because a cup IS a bowl!). My husband got pork tenderloin sandwich with fries, also perfect. The server is super-friendly! Only one other local in the restaurant. Don't miss this place - it's a gem!
