Loved it. Was planning on a bar burger but the special was fried chicken. My buddy had the regular fried chicken and I had gizzards and mashed taters and gravy. OMG absolutely delicious. Compliments to the server for talking us into the special instead of burgers.
Something wonderful beyond imagination and description, and it was also an interesting and enjoyable trip, even though the first trip years ago was still an unforgettable memory, even after the second.
Really great American bar and restaurant. They have a private meeting room that seats 40-50. Waitresses are on the mark with orders and drink refills. They have a great version of the Central Illinois classic Horseshoe sandwich (open-faced with Texas toast, choice of meat, French fries, covered in cheese sauce). Pork tenderloins, either grilled or breaded, small or large, are absolutely delicious. I had the Cobb salad which was too big to eat in one sitting. Definitely worth stopping...
