“Everything awesome except daytime bartender has a horrible attitude and prolly shouldn't be in that line of work. She has sticky fingers also. Just my expieriance. Besides her everything anout the place is awesome sauce.. Thumbs up Doug....”
“Wow! A subway that actually toasts their sandwiches properly! ?? we had steak sandwiches and they were toasted to perfection, TONS of meat, and FRESH veggies. Plus great customer service from the workers.”
“Really great American bar and restaurant. They have a private meeting room that seats 40-50. Waitresses are on the mark with orders and drink refills. They have a great version of the Central Illinois classic Horseshoe sandwich (open-faced with Texas toast, choice of meat, French fries, covered in cheese sauce). Pork tenderloins, either grilled or breaded, small or large, are absolutely delicious. I had the Cobb salad which was too big to eat in one sitting. Definitely worth stopping by.”
“Visited for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I were able to sit and have a conversation while our young kids played in the kids corner ( within view ). I ordered the pot roast. Portions were great, food was delicious and presented in a visually appealing way. I feel like the pot roast is the most expensive item on the menu at $17- well worth it for the amount and quality. The fresh baked bread was the cherry on top! Highly recommend if you’re in the area. (The shops on the square are close by, too)Kid-friendliness: Small corner dedicated to kids- has a small playhouse and other miscellaneous toys for the kids to play with while waiting for the food to arrive. Kids options on the menu.”
“We absolutely love this place!! The pizza is always hot and delicious, the staff is friendly and prompt, and the pizza comes with enough cheese that you'll never need to order extra, and that's saying a lot for us cheese lovers!!”
“A classic diner open 24/7 with a friendly staff. My family party of five ate breakfast here on the morning of the 2024 total eclipse.Parking: The parking is the automobile parking area of a large truck stop.”
“Friendly staff & best burgers! Family recipe for Chili & their cheese sauce! Hidden gem on the hill! Check out their menu! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“You like good times with good friends? Well then, Koo Koo's 2 is the place to be! Grab a cold one from the great bartenders, play a few bucks, and enjoy the friendly company.”
“This was our first time ever eating at Broadgauge. We were sat down after our reservation time, we were sat right next to the lounge, with no barrier between, we were literally apart of their conversations, and vis versa. our server did not "greet us", it was quick to what do you want to drink, these are the soups of the day. We did not get "checked" one once during our entire meal after getting our entrees, therefore, if something was wrong, or if the steak that was ordered was incorrect we had no one to address. overall the food was delicious, but not worth the price, if we are expected to tip staff off the price of the food if we are not getting the same outcome from waitstaff. will note that the gentleman that brought out the second beer was very pleasant and nice when he brought it over to our table!”
“I ordered a take and bake pizza. It was ready when I went to pick it up and the employee that checked me out was very friendly. The amount of toppings on the pizza was great. I really wasn't expecting that much. The taste was awesome along with the price. It was my first time ordering from there, but it won't be the last. I highly recommend this place.”
“The food is good here. However, it is expensive in price. You can easily spend $ 60.00 on 2 kids' meals and 2 adult meals. So you better bring a stack of cash with you. The place is clean and has indoor and outdoor dining, drive-thru, and take-out.”
“Always great food!!!! Always awesome portion size!! Very quick preperation of food. We order online n pick it up to take it home. Everything we order has always been very tasty!!!”
“Without a doubt the best food and ambience. Well worth the drive. The bast part is having Rick as our server! He makes it more than just a meal out, he makes it an experience! I will always request to be in his section!”
“My wife and I recently traveled to Petersburg, Illinois to visit Hand of Fate Brewing Company. We like to do little road trips to check out different distilleries and breweries and Hand of Fate received high marks. We got into Petersburg early so HOF was not open yet, so we wandered around the downtown area and looked at some of the shops that were open. Nothing really for guys, but my wife picked up some nice stuff at the women clothing shops. Also, whatever stores we were in, everyone was so nice! Another thing is there is no parking time limit, so park your car with no worries about moving it. Back to HOF, we got there right when they opened and was greeted by Jamie our bartender. She was so nice and helped us make our beer selections by listening to what we liked then offering samples to make sure we picked the right one. I had the Loopy4Lupulin, which was very good and my wife had the Sweet Lou's Cider which she also enjoyed. I tried other beers that were good and ended up taking home a couple of crowlers of Wee Heavenly Scottish Ale (soooo goood!). They also have a few Tshirts, caps, stickers etc. for sale at reasonable prices. I was a bit disappointed, since they were out of my size in the shirt I wanted, but oh well - next trip maybe. If you want food, they share the space with Rahl's Landing. They are two separate businesses, so you will have separate servers and bills. The food is great though. Overall our experience at Hand of Fate Brewing Company was awesome! We'll worth the drive. I highly recommend that you visit Petersburg and Hand of Fate.”
“Great venue. Only issue is the bathrooms!! Need more and also need extra porta potties outside when a show is sold out. It's insane to have only 4 stalls! And usually one is broken. Large open area and barstools along back wall. Bars on each side and up front.”
“If you want great food in a small diner atmosphere then Parkway Cafe is the best choice every time. There can be a wait sometimes early on a Saturday or Sunday morning but never long at all. We've never had anything less than stellar so I can't give a specific food recommendation.Parking: If the parking lot is full, just park next door at Aldi.”
“Very quirky little place. It's a small house converted to a restaurant. Not a lot of ambiance, but food is wonderful and always comes out piping hot. Reasonable prices, generous servings. Take out is an option, too. They don't accept credit cards just cash or personal checks. They don't sell alcoholic beverages, but you are allowed to bring your own.Parking lot is small. In pleasant weather there are, often, customers outside waiting for a table, but worth the wait. One of my favorite places in Springfield!”
“Becky and her Staff our 2nd too none a TrueOutlaw hangoutBank robbers bikers hippies and all nightersShe only has food at eventsBut the beer is cold, the woman r pretty and the music is loud,,Stumbling my way thru town looking for a gigCome on inDid I Mention,Somewhere in Springfield Illinois in 1973Bruce Willis ordered the First Miller Lite ever served,is this the place you tell meDietary restrictions: Sugar Free Moonshine...”
“This is my favorite restaurant and go there as much as I can. The staff greets you and are so friendly and food off the charts! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. I always order the dragon sushi roll, crab Rangoon, EGGROLL, and edamame The staff has quick service and go out of their way to make sure everything is served to perfection!. All their food is AMAZING ‼️”
“We were visiting from Minnesota and we LOVED this bar.Rhonda was amazing and kept us laughing and hydrated.Music was fantastic - prices are great - other patrons were all so welcoming.I would absolutely drive down here just for this bar.Thank you Rhonda!!”
“I was harrassed and annoyed by the same jamokes that seem to not only visit, but live there....and I welcomed it with enthusiasm. Home is home. Can't deny where you come from...Go Lions!”
“This is my absolute favorite lunchtime restaurant. Amazing and fast service. the food is an authentic Mexican menu that has wonderful selections. I've eaten there long enough to say the consistency is A+. I like taking people there that have never been and they agree its awsome.”
“It's a very good sports bar. Nice bartenders and everyone else that doesn't work there. Enjoy a conversation with everyone. Food is a bit expensive but it is great.”
“Excellent Pizza! Probably the best in the Springfield area! This is Pizza made by people that CARE about the food they serve to you, and it shows. Rico and Trish, with their tight knit crew, use in house created dough and sauce recipes, quality fresh ingredients and the desire and skill to produce an outstanding Pizza.Whether you choose one of their creative signature Pizzas or create your own from a large selection of toppings, you will not be disappointed. My only regret is waiting far too long to try one”
“I've only ever really gone to this place for lunch, and most of the time It's very good. Unfortunately, they suffer from the same thing that every bar suffers from and that is a high turnover of their cooks. The one thing that doesn't appear to change is the quality of the food that they at least start cooking. They probably have one of the best hamburgers in Springfield. I would much rather go here than any fast food restaurant and pay almost the exact same amount. The bartenders have always been friendly and it's always clean. I would definitely recommend you check this place out if you're wanting a relatively fast tasty lunch at a good price.”
“I stopped off here. The owners had just opened the place. They really did a great job of fixing the place up. Greats sports bar!! Go in and Check them out. Make sure You Like and Follow them on Facebook!!! For all their events. The owners make a really great bowl of Chili!!!”
“We were just passing though and grabbed a bite here and had the best made sandwiches I’ve ever experienced at subway! We get messy ones and me and my husband had maybe 2 drops of sauce come off the bottom literally the best!”
“We found this place on Google while staying in Petersburg. Very friendly! Ice cream and shakes were yummy! We'll definitely stop next time we're down that way. I got key lime and the pineapple strawberry sorbet. So good!”
“Best wings ever! 75 cent wings Su, M, Th, 1.50 beer 2-6 on Friday and $2 Coors light on Monday.Locals make you feel welcome and Jackie is super awesome. Well worth the drive.”
