“My family and I love Vextor!! We visit several times a week. We love the milk teas and refreshers. Love the boba and the jellies! So many options. The mini eggrolls are great. You can choose your sweetness level and ice level! The staff are awesome too! So friendly and helpful in explaining menu items. I have had boba drinks from other places and they just don’t compare. My fave is the passion fruit lychee milk tea with 25 percent sugar and the Thai Hurricane with brown boba. I also love all of the refresher tea flavors with crystal boba.”

“Lovely. Me and two family members went here and each got a pizza. We each ate about three slices and saved the rest for later. The crust is great and pillowy, while still being decently thin. A person in our group is celiac and got a GF pizza. She has not had a reaction to eating the pizza here, she loves the crust. We ordered a half salad, the ingredients were fresh and crisp, no soggy tomatoes or shriveled lettuce. We also got the spinach artichoke dip, it was SO delicious. Though my only complaint is there isn’t very much of it! At the end we got three tiramisu and a GF brownie, the tiramisu is delightful! The waiters don’t come by very often, which I quite like as it gives us time to talk without being interrupted. The food comes out quickly and is hot. They don’t have fountain drinks, only bottled, which is alright, though not my preference. I wouldn’t say it’s family friendly, but at the same time, it isn’t as if you cannot bring you kids here. As long as they are well behaved and quiet I don’t think they’ll be a problem. It was quiet when we went (5 pm) but started to get busy as we were leaving. The seating area is small but it’s organized well. After we were done eating and at check out an employee, we are assuming the owner, was very interested in our feedback. He wanted to know what we got and how we liked it, he was very friendly and cared about his customers experiences. Parking wasn’t great, but it’s downtown so it was expected, be prepared to walk about a block. Overall, we had an amazing experience and will definitely come back again.

“We ordered our holiday meal from Mission BBQ and picked it up on Christmas Eve. I can’t say enough positive about my experience. The person who took my order prior to the holiday was so nice and made sure they hadn’t over committed on carry out orders for that day. When we picked up, it was ready, the folks working were so friendly and they even carried it out to the car for us! The food was amazing and the service was even better. Only suggestion is to allow people to tip with a credit card. I didn’t have sufficient cash to tip the staff like I would have wanted to. They’re awesome and deserve it!”

Needing a coffee on a 4 hour drive to Shawnee National Forest, we stopped at Scooter’s to survive our early drive. It’s a drive-thru only coffeehouse so I strongly debated even writing a blog post for it but in my quest to visit all the coffee places, I knew I had to make the concession and experience it from the drive-thru lane and passenger seat of Emily’s car.

They had an Americano so… you can bet that’s exactly what I ordered and it did not disappoint. I love a strong bitter Americano and a lot of places err on the side of making it accessible and enjoyable. This was full on the style I like and if there was one around where I live, I would be getting my Americano drinks there instead of making my usual Dunkin’ run when I treat myself. I did try the concoction Emily tried and we both agreed that it was missing a certain something. Not that it was bad but that it just lacked that thing to make it magical.

But… the best part of Scooter’s is the opening line of this blog. When we placed our order, the person told us to ‘Go ahead and scoot on up’. Maybe it was the 4 hours of sleep I got. Maybe it’s my sometimes simple and childish-like humor. Maybe it’s just a great line. But it had me cracking up for a few minutes.

“Stopped in here for the first time for a quick breakfast. We liked the ordering process. We placed our order at the counter and then seated ourselves. Our food was brought out a very short time later. It is a very clean, nice restaurant. They have an outdoor patio as well. When we were done eating we simply bussed our table and left. Super easy.
The food was fantastic. We had a breakfast bowl, a bagel breakfast sandwich and an oatmeal. No one was disappointed. My breakfast bowl was very flavorful and the avocado and chorizo sausage was awesome. The oatmeal and bagel were also very good I was told. We cleaned our plates! I would definitely go back. This restaurant has both inside and outside seating. Beware...the inside can be really noisy. The location is really close to the Lincoln home so it is nice to walk around those houses after dinner on a nice evening.”

However, when I checked my bank statement I seen the waitress tacked on an extra $4 tip for herself After we left her a $20 tip in cash on a $65.69 tab.
