I live in St Louis, one of my MUST stop every time I'm in Springfield is Mel-O-Cream. No matter which location, both have great employee's and the best donuts in the mid west. I only wish they could ship them. Glazed old fashioned is the best, also the white butter cream is also right up there. The only problem is that if you get there late, then its slim pickens, but what a nice problem to have for a business. PS they are also good if you freeze them.
Mel-O-Cream Donuts are a great find in Springfield. This location is the best as it’s open later than the other locations and stays well stocked with a variety of donuts.
They have plenty of parking right off the main road. There’s plenty of spacious seating inside. We had to get a dozen as they all looked really good.
