“We saw Jamie’s Route 66 getting off the highway to go to a different bar, and I immediately noticed the packed parking lot and bright lights outside on a Monday. I told my boyfriend, well, if the bar we’re going to sucks, we can always go there.
That’s exactly what we ended up doing and it was the best decision we could’ve made. Jamie was behind the bar and was so friendly, welcoming, and social. We were coming from a long drive, and she recommended the pizza which hit the spot.
Everyone knows her by name, and she knows everyone’s names too. She heard we were from Chicago and immediately introduced us to the people next to us who had Chicago connections. We ended up talking to them all night.
If you want great bar pizza, great conversation, great deals, and great bartenders, then Jamie’s Route 66 is the spot to go !!!“

“Fantastic dive bar run by a 98 year old veteran who’s been in business for over 40 years. Great dive bar atmosphere. Louie is a great guy who’s in love with Marylin Monroe and will chat with anyone. He says business has been slow lately. Beers $2 each. Stop in and give Louie some business. You’ll be glad you did.“

“First time back in 6 years after moving to Tennessee and I must say new owner Todd and his staff are phenomenal and continue to keep it a very welcoming, neighborhood, friendly place with excellent service and amazing food. Highly recommend this place and keep up the great work! I will be coming back every time I come to town!“

“Was a great hall for a smaller wedding party. Very clean and has a playground for the kids. Easy access to the bar which some used. Clean handicap accessible restrooms which I appreciate due to using a wheelchair because of a broken leg. Beautiful Memorial space in in front honoring veterans.“

“Hi, Greetings to owners of Mac’s Lounge. This is the daughter of the man that previously owned 13th and Cook. It was my father Leo B Saner who owned ‘Saner’s tavern’ and his father before him. I have so many fond memories of my dad’s tavern. We lived locally on S. 14th street and his brother and his family lived in the house that was connected and accessible from the tavern. I’m so happy to see that it still exists and I think it’s really neat what you have done with it. I live in Washington state but come there to visit friends and family that still live there. “A cheap, quiet, downtown dive. On each of my visits here, only 3-5 other patrons ever wandered in. This includes Friday and Saturday nights! I don't know what the story is, but for those who want a break from the loud and crowded, swing in here for something much more chill.“

“I threw my boyfriend a surprise party here last night and they were MORE than accommodating. They set up tables, reserved us a little spot in the back and made sure we were able to throw off such a good party!! Bartender (I think her name was megan) was super nice and attentive. We had such a good time, thank you!!!“

“We very much enjoyed dining here! The staff are so friendly and the food is exceptional! I will be glad to return and eat again. We had both dessert options available, the cheesecake and brownie sundae (pictured) which were sooo good! Also, I highly recommend the horseshoe (available with different meat options) it was a hit. Everyone at my table was eating it! And the wings, mouth watering and delicious! I could go on and on but I'll stop here. Go and try it for yourself!

“We held a bridal shower here and Bloom exceeded all our expectations! The space itself is stunning- even prettier in person than in the photos. Our food and beverages were displayed beautifully, served in a timely manner, and most importantly it all tasted amazing! The staff were friendly, accommodating, and they made the entire process an absolute breeze. The floral bar was the perfect activity and favor for our guests to take home with them. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the space and would not hesitate to book another event here!“
