“This was our first time visiting home plate today. We were a party of two adults and 2 toddlers. The food was very good. The service was outstanding from our server, Jaylen, who was very busy but still made time to chat with us and give recommendations to the manager Daniella, who gave us great beer recommendations and even gave us a free beer when we mentioned we had wanted to sample something but it was in a can. And we were surprised when they offered our little ones free popsicles after their meals. So sweet to see such a kid friendly establishment! We will definitely be back.“
“Stopped in on a hot day road trip with the wife thought she would enjoy the video games as she is a nerd and well... I like to drink lol! A quick drink and some video games turned into A BLAST! “The Alamo no longer has food for lunch, our kitchen has been closed. Our hours are 3pm-1am , open until 3am Thursday-Saturday & closed on Sunday ! Blues bands perform every Monday at 7pm ! The food service may have ended, but the friendly service will always remain! Come get a drink at the Alamo; downtown Springfield IL !“
“The pizza here is amazing! We loved the dill pickle, the hot honey chicken, and our favorite was the Carne asada. Their side salad had tortilla strips (which I loved). The buffalo sauce is some of the best I've had. We had friendly service both times and can't wait to go back again!“
“One of the best wing spots in town. Wings are always large, crispy and cooked like they should be. They have a large variety of sauces. Tonight they weren't really busy when we got there. Service was great the manager came to our table twice to check on us and see how things were. Honestly have never had a bad experience here and have eaten here and gotten carry out on many occasions. They have many tvs that are always turned to sports so you can watch the games and enjoy your food. The bar area is a nice cozy spot to eat and watch the game as well.“

“There was an issue with my order. The mac n cheese got left behind on my delivery order. I called about it. I believe she was a waitress that corrected my order. SHE ACTUALLY BROUGHT THE MAC N CHEESE TO MY HOME PERSONALLY. THAT IS SERVICE! not to mention the food is always amazing! THANK YOU SO MUCH!“

Example was waitress to manage our table of eight to get all the orders straight just from listening.They offered a wide selection of domestic and craft beer along with a good selection of food all reasonably priced.The atmosphere is a little loud but could be expected for my sports bar crowd.“
“I had a jalapeno bacon horseshoe and it was delicious. (It was pretty spicy, I thought). The waitor, Brandon, was excellent - cordial and available. He made certain every need was met. One thing that all in our party agreed on, was that it was comfortable and the noise levels were such that you could have a normal conversation at your table without shouting - which is my complaint at most sports bar type places. Will definitely go back!“
“First time visiting this establishment. Place was not filled to capacity but the service was very fast. The food was excellent and also served quickly. They have a diverse and large menu. Only complaint I had was the limited available parking. Overall good experience & highly recommended.“
