“Let me share this: I cannot stress enough how picky of an eater I am. I grew up eating from scratch and I now cook from scratch as adult. This place met my standards! The waiter Micheal was good! The lollipop lamb chops were Excellent. If I had to give a downside, perhaps a touch more polenta. My husband had the pasta with alfredo sauce. That dish was too salty.Other than that good. Dinner guests had the steak bites with the orzo; they raved over the dish! We all shared the oysters, they loved it. If I had to critique, they’re not Rockefeller, as there’s no spinach, but they were fine. Also, a few more shakes needed prior to serving their version of the dirty martini. The dinner guests also, enjoyed the cocktail with the foam on top. You won’t be disappointed with this choice. This fancy dinner was worth the 3 hour drive and we’ll have happy memories of dining with are good friends thanks to Vele and Micheal for a lifetime!!!“
“Had the Sophia Loren pizza on the jersey style crust. It was incredible. The garlic fennel sausage is amazing. Nice thin crust (they make their own crust and use their own yeast starter), perfectly cooked. The service was great. I can't wait to eat here again!“
“Our first visit since the end of the pandemic and the restaurant has changed, all for the good. The menu has been updated and the non-vegetarian and vegetarian selections offer something foreveryone. The atmosphere is improved with cool jazz music and slightly lowered lighting. I had the crab stuffed shrimp which was delicious, the salad was fresh and cold with a nice mix of greens, onions, and tomatoes; the addition of salty Kalamata olives would be a good addition. A warm rolls were a nice touch and something not many restaurants offer anymore. The lamb osso bucco was excellent. My wife had the roasted pepper bisque which was really good, and her mushroom ravioli in mushroom and cream sauce was luscious. The portions were substantial, and we wanted but had no room for desert. Our server, Mitch, and the other dining room staff were pleasant and efficient, making for a dinner experience we could linger over (1.5 hours). We'll return for Valentine's Day dinner. All-in-all, an excellent visit.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are especially good.“

“Very highly recommend! We had a group of 19 for our Christmas luncheon. We had the place entirely to ourselves as they are normally not open for lunch. We had a small buffet with excellent food. One of our members is allergic to onions and is gluten free. Her food was specially prepared with those guidelines. Can't say enough how highly appreciated and satisfied we all were with food, staff, everything!“
“The pizza was really delish and fresh. The pineapple tasted really good on it. I like they way they cut it in squares because I ate so much more because of that. The employee was very sweet when giving us the food. The inside was dark and kinda scary lol but like also cozy.“
“Bernie and Betty's is a staple in the field and for good reason. Whoever gives this place anything less than a 4/5 had a lapse in judgement and had a one off experience. We ordered: Jalapeño Poppers 8/10 Potato Skins 6.5/10 (didn't have a whole lot of flavor) Pepperoni Thin Crust 8/10 Sausage & Bacon Sourdough 8/10 All meats sourdough 9/10 (my personal pizza) First off allow me to preface that our waitress was super nice. Never caught her name but she was lovely and very attentive! Second, we didn't come to try appetizers but we had just finished a workout and hadn't ate all day so we wanted some extra calories. The decor: very tavern style, intimate with tables close to each other, a bar area, a gaming area, and a private room. The appetizers: A very run of the mill appetizer set up for a pizza place, we ended up snagging some jalapeño poppers which were good we enjoyed them we also grabbed up some potato skins as a random pick. The potato skins are definitely missing a few things, namely any flavor. We wanted to finish them but we decided on not and having one of my friends take it home. Might need a little salt and pepper! The main grub: It's not my first time eating B&B's but it was one of the best times for sure. I don't know if it was the fact that I've only done take out or what but whoever cooked this today was crazy good. And we all agreed our food was above average. If not great. The spices and flavor from the sourdough pizzas were nice and filling. Would recommended. 4/5 or 8.73/10“
“Been going to this place for around 5 years, it's never disappointed. Food is great, overall atmosphere feels welcoming & on top of that service is also excellent. I recommend you go here if you haven't yet. You will not regret it“
“Tortellini soup was excellent, best I've ever had. The lasagna was also right up there with the best. The salad was pretty good. The blue moon draft had a funky smell but drinkable. The covered up smell was the only negative atmosphere.“
“When I entered the restaurant I was greeted and seated by a very friendly employee. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting. I ordered an Italian beef sub sandwich with au jus and it was truly awesome. The seasoning was great and the hoagie roll it was on didn't fall part when I poured the au jus on it. I had to eat part of the Italian beef off of the sandwich before I could even get my mouth around the sandwich. It had lots of meat on it. I apologize for the picture I took of it. I had already eaten over half of it before I took the picture. It smelled so good I just had to hurry up and try it. The price was very reasonable. I will definitely be going back there and highly recommend it if you like good Italian food .“
“I've been to other Monical's before and it was pretty average but this experience was way above my expectations. The food was hot, fresh tasting, and made quickly. Highly recommend the garlic bread it was delicious. Our waitress was so sweet, kept up with our table, offered to go boxes and to go drinks and was just all around a really good waitress. We got the garlic bread and a thin crust pizza and a pan pizza both were delicious!“
“met some girlfriends for dinner & drinks...the apple martini was perfect! however, service was pretty slow for an uncrowded place...the cheese bread was different than i expected - covered in romano and parmesan, not hot or warm, no melted cheese whatsoever, i will not order that again...the olive salad was very good - one suggestion, maybe add black olives too.“
“Brett was the absolute best. He introduced himself, asked if we had any questions, He was attentive to our tables while also serving several others. He even interacted my 3yr old when he started getting antsy. Olive Garden better hold on to him.“
“This is a family friendly, old-school Italian restaurant, close to the convention center and the two hotels. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was good. I would definitely recommend this place for someone staying or attending the convention center.“
“A piece of Italy perfectly spotted in the heart of the state capital!! Sandwiches, amazing. Pizza, awesome. Looking for homemade pasta? Spaghetti and meatballs? Yes they have it all! Huge menu, beautiful restaurant! Very colorful. Grab a slice with a beer, do some gambling on the machines, have a kids birthday, they literally check all the boxes!! The owner is exceptionally nice and you can tell the love they put into the place for decades!!Parking: You have to park on the street but it's worth it!Kid-friendliness: Plenty of room and seats for kids!“
“This place got new owners just a little over a year ago... quality of food went through the roof, I love their wings, I don't do a lot of pizza, but the double decker will leave your with leftovers! My wife LOVES their Italian beef! The bartender Jimmy is the best in town' I'd give more 5 if I could!!!“
“I have very fond memories of Joe's over the years - even driving by brings a smile to my face. So the nostalgia coupled with the amazing pizza brings it to 5 stars for me. The service is hit-or-miss depending on who helps you but its really never been the friendliest place to order from. My most recent order was hot & ready in the 45 minutes quoted and the young man who brought the order out was very nice. While they make a solid pizza with good crust and a sweeter sauce, don't pass over the lasagna - it is delicious!“
“It's a very relaxing family like atmosphere. I even think it's like a laid-back hang out for owner and friends but not in an obnoxious way. Menu does need updated since some things are not available there anymore. Old school type pizza my husband loves.“
“Pretty good food, good service and good prices. The only reason I didn't give a five star is that while the food was good, it wasn't exceptionally so. Had chicken parmesan and the chicken was actually chicken fingers, which I thought was a little odd. Everything was also pretty salty, which I realize just could be personal preference as I rarely salt my food. But if I were in the area, I would go there again.“
“Got order for pick up for a work luncheon. There was an error in our call ahead order but the manager on duty hustled and got everything done quickly and accurately. I really appreciate how she went out of the way to get us taken care of. Our staff loved all the food. We will definitely order again. Also it’s an amazing option when you have several vegetarians on staff because there a lot of options!!Vegetarian options: Great selection“
“Easily the best pizza in town, and easily the most authentic pizza I've ever had outside of Italy. Prices are reasonable for the quality you get. The restaurant itself isn't anything special, but serves its purpose well. I love that the owner has a ton of pictures of him and his family in Italy on the walls. The Carbonara is perhaps my favourite pizza ever, never thought eggs on a pizza would be good but here we are. What a time to be alive.“
