Fun place. The outside looks like a barracks, but inside it's a hive of activity. Kitschy advertising signs - Sinclair Oil, Eastern Airlines - vie with Elvis and Marilyn for wall space. Very attentive wait staff, and a pretty extensive menu.I got the fisherman's breakfast: 2 eggs, toast, potatoes and choice of catfish or walleye. Famous place in Springfield that was packed for breakfast when we stopped on weekday. Service and atmosphere are full diner experience. Was a little disappointed that Eggs Benedict used shaved ham instead of ham slice and they wouldn't allow toast substitution. But still good stop.

I had there senior omelette.The best in town! The service and staff was wonderful. They have my vote for the best place to eat in Springfield Illinois. I have found my new favorite place.
