Lao Sichuan has the most authentic and consistently amazing Chinese food to be found anywhere in the U.S. Having spent some time living in China while I was in undergrad, there are certain flavors that I crave, which your run of the mill American style Chinese restaurant will not have. My wife and I live in St Charles and make the 1 hour 20 minute round trip at least once a week to get our fix. The food is that good.

Fantastic menu! Spicy and non spicy dishes available. Service is wonderful. Been going here for years, and will go every time I'm in town.
Disgusting food I threw it out!!! And it was not cheap. Scallops were a soggy over breaded chewy gross tasting mess. Duck had too many little bones and fatty pieces that can’t be chewed up. Scallion pancakes were chewy, and dumplings tasted worse than frozen made at home- they were undercooked in some areas and overcooked in others. I will never give them another dollar in my life.
