I came to Pepes to transport myself into a cultural atmosphere. The place brings back familiar memories of my family and friends. Ready to indulge into my Mariachis shish-kabobs!!! Waiting in the wings, is the star of the night. A traditional Margarita On The Rocks!
Enjoyed the half-price margaritas! I took my friend out for birthday drinks at Pepe's at 1pm. The mango margarita was great! The waitress was really polite and didn't bother us about only getting drinks.
The food was a bit bland for Mexican dishes.The carne asada was blackened when I specifically requested the waitress NOT to blacken the piece of meat. I asked for medium well, not blackened. Well, I got a very chard black piece of carne asada, which was bitter from the heat.It is obvious that there is no desire to please the paying client due to the extreme lack of conveying the customers' wishes to the cook who never has to face the eating customers.The sides were flat...
