I love everything about Gabby's on Main! The food is exceptional. The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and fun. And the service was warm, courteous and will keep you coming back again and again.
This is the type of place I would drive out of my way to stop at. I was headed down to Lake Murphysboro to camp for the weekend and saw that I could take the highway and drive right past. Totally worth the extra time.
I stopped in and placed a carry out order to take with me to my campsite and enjoy by the lake. I ordered a Jalapeño Burger with Potatoe Salad for a side. Both hit the spot!
While I waited, I played the slot machines. I put $20 in and cashed out when my order was ready about 15-20 minutes later with a little over $25. 😁
Thanks so much for providing a delicious stop along my path. Next time I'm in the area, you can bet I will be stopping by again. It's a 2 hour drive from my hometown, but I could totally see me doing a food roadtrip just to eat there again.

Sorry - I should have taken the picture before I smashed the burger down. This is one of those - you need two hands to hold it - big appetite burgers. I didn't need anything to eat until mid way through my morning the next day! Yum!

It was not a good experience. I chose the wrong time and day to visit this restaurant. I ordered a burger (which was not good), and it took almost an hour, and my fries were cold.
I told my waitress. She took my plate, walked a few feet away through the kitchen door, and shouted, “She said her fries are cold,” As I would lie after waiting an hour.
I later learned that the lady who waited on me was the owner, and she seemed very frustrated. I'm not sure if I would return, but it seems to be a great place when staffed.

Waited 30 minutes, no food. Talked to waitress only to find out that head chief was in the hospital and substitute cook was in charge. I believe the waitress should have told us the situation. Left and will not go back.
