Would have been close to perfect, reception, service, fun but my steak was COLD. Nobody wants to create a negative vibe when having dinner with friends, so I said nothing. But it spoiled an otherwise lovely evening.

Our group came explicitly to see Jacquelyn Vale perform, but the positioning of the speakers was off and we could barely hear the music. Our waitstaff did not seem to be thrilled to be there and walked away a few times from us when we didn't have 100% alignment on ordering because we were sharing one drink menu and one specials menu across 10 people. Not sure why they didn't give us more menus. The flatware was not clean and the food was mediocre. Disappointing, except for when we moved to the bar area to hear the performance. Otherwise, we probably will not return to Moretti's. This was a birthday, and we waited 15 minutes for the check because the manager needed to sign off on the free birthday dessert. Very weird. The place seems more suited to families with kids / sports teams.

We met our friends at Morretti's in Barrington to see Dan Peters, a guitarist. Made reservations to secure seats near where he would be playing. We got there a little early to have dinner. Three of us had the steak and potato with salad Thursday special while my wife had the pork schnitzel and potato pancake Oktoberfest special. We all enjoyed our meals and drinks. Our server, Sandra, was terrific. I always like to see the dessert menu even though I was stuffed. She let us know that we had until 9pm when the kitchen closed.

The food was wonderful. Tasted great and came out hot. The waiter wasn't as good as the food. The music wasn't very good but the sound wasn't overpowering, so we didn't really mind it. Overall, one waiter, one time, won't come close to stopping us from returning.

Dylan was outstanding! The fish was more like fish sticks rather than actual fish. We have had it in the past and it was not the same.

We always have a great time at Moretti”s - we come with friends every Tuesday for BINGO. The servers are what makes the night fun - we have gotten to know them on a personal level. The only thing that would make it better would be winning the coverall in BINGO!!!

We made reservations and still waited 15 minutes to be seated even thought there were a half dozen tables empty. A wait staff took the drinks of a table of 5 behind us and nobody acknowledged us for at least ten minutes. However, once a young man noticed we hadn't been helped and came over he was awesome! Half price pizza night was a great surprise, but my husband's pizza was half burnt. That must have been the free part! 😂 The gluten free crust was amazing and pepperoni was light and crispy and was a generous amount. Even though it was super busy, the food came out in a timely manner. We really like Moretti's and feel it's normally a quality experience all around.
