Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy Store

This place ruined my night. This worker was clearly incompetent. Messed up our order and the next one. I ordered a hot chocolate and got a strawberry shake. Horrible service as well. Not worth the 8 bucks!!!

NO MORE BLACK CHERRY!? I’ve been coming to Oberweis since I was a kid and no other ice cream store could top their black cherry. Very sad day to come in and find out it has been discontinued. Please bring back the flavor or you’ve lost a lifetime customer.

Update: I tried the Chocolate covered cherry hugs. I thought the chocolate pieces were far too abundant in the black cherry base. It overpowered the flavor of the black cherry and forced you to chew with every consumption, which is atypical of how you'd expect to enjoy a rich ice cream. Also, the chocolate pieces are just small enough to get stuck in your teeth. Overall, the ice cream is not balanced and the texture composition is not for me. I do not recommend the chocolate covered black cherry hugs.

this place is always packed with workers, but it still takes forever to get your order. everyone just standing around or looking lost! i love oberweis but the service here is always awful.

This review is specifically targeted at the blonde "manager" at the Bartlett location. Whatever it was that was so important for you to do in the back while your one team lead (and clearly only staff member working) became slammed with drive-thru and walk in orders, more than likely could have waited at 4pm on a Tuesday. Not to mention the fact that when you came out to "help", you were visibly frustrated with the/his back up on orders. I don't run an ice cream shop, I'm not even a manager, but I know what it's like to be part of a team. Get it together, be a better leader. To the gentleman that took my order, thank YOU.

My son and I love going to sit and enjoy the ice cream, service, and a game of chess. Bathrooms are very clean, also. Sevice is really good.

$15 for one scoop and brownie with scoop of ice cream. The girl in the window proceeded to hand me a melted ice cream cone that she used her hand to cup it to catch the dripping and hands it over with no napkins…Yeah I’d love dripping ice cream all over my car and no problem, I’ll just use my shirt as a napkin. Stupidity is the only explanation. Also handed the girls in the window a $20 dollar bill and you would have thought I handed them an advanced calculus problem. Do better, A lot better.

The ice cream was excellent. At this particular location however the gentleman who took our payment barely waited until the window closed before exclaiming “no tip, love that” to his coworkers. The lady who made our shake picked up the scoop of ice cream with her bare hands to put in the blender, I was hoping she had clear gloves on but was disappointed to find out she did not. Hoping for professional, more cleanly service next time we visit.

They make the best shakes and the staff working here is good… They are good with the customers and looked like the staff working in the store is enjoying the work too…

It was my first time ever at one of these places. I like buying their icecream at the supermarket but since I was near one of their locations, thought I would try them out. I order a hot fudge sundae and also bought a few containers of icecream to take home. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful since I had mentioned that I was doing a long drive back home. He found me a cooler, filled it with some ice, and my icecream made it home safely. Thank you, that's what you call good customer service.
