What a lovely restaurant and staff. Tea served in a delicate china tea cup and delicious empanadas. The corn empanada was incredible. Will definitely be back soon.

I was very excited to try this place out when I moved to Batavia. The empanadas are mediocre, definitely overpriced for what they are. The pionono was not fresh at all - you can tell it was days old, as well as the alfajores de maicena, definitely frozen for several days and stale tasting. The flan was served chopped up into little pieces and chunks in a to go cup. Nobody eats flan like that. I have gone several times to give them several chances but I am disappointed every time. I will not be going back.

On our way to Saint Charles for the Scarecrow fest weekend and decided to stop by this beautiful little cafe off of Batavia.
First of all, the Cafe owner was absolutely amazing who also serviced us. She was so friendly and wonderful. We sat outside on this beautiful sunny 70° temperature and it was just a great day with adorable seating and relaxing atmosphere.
We ordered the Lentils Salad with their homemade mayo and chimichurri dressing, 2 spinach and cheese empanadas, ham and cheese empanadas and a chocolate dipped cookie cake with dulce de Leche and everything was exceptional. It took a little longer but that is to be expected for freshly made food! The empanadas was soooo crispy and flavorful and the lentil salad was delicious as well. My kid said the cookie cake was absolutely the best and his jam and cheese empanadas was hot and delicious. What is not to love? Great service, delicious food, wonderful atmosphere on a pleasant October day!

This is like a hidden gem, a treasure to be discovered! The food is authentic original and savory. It is a real treat with genuine argentine flavor. The empanadas are artesanal, delicious flaky and with a such a great variety.

This is a must visit for everyone! The warmth of the wonderful staff and the amazing food is one of the gems of this wonderful River town. Seriously the best Chimichurri I have ever had and the empanadas are always in my freezer for a quick meal. Do not miss this place

A beautiful, cozy place with the most delicious, freshest, and most authentic Argentinian dishes. Silvia is the sweetest and most attentive person I've ever met. I didn't even feel like I was in a "cafe" but rather as if I was in her home. I'm glad we decided to stop by. I will definitely come back, and I recommend it with all my heart ?
