Stopped by their location on Rt. 72 today. I’ve been wanting to stop by for awhile and today was my first opportunity.
I wanted to order the brisket plate & the 1/2 chicken plate. But the chicken wasn’t ready which was disappointing but understandable.
I ordered 3 of the brisket plates and we had them for dinner tonight.
I found the brisket itself to be really good and I’ll for sure get it again. I do wish that they added more of the Brisket to the plate though.
But I found the sides disappointing and out of place.
Where I would have expected coleslaw, potato salad and corn bread, the plate included pickled (what looked like) onions, pickles & bread.
Overall good BBQ but disappointing sides.

You know what it’s very un assuming . The true test of any barbecue joint, of course, lies in its meats. The brisket, a staple, boasts a commendable smoke ring and a tender texture, yielding easily to the touch. However, the flavor profile, while pleasant, lacks the robust depth and complexity that distinguishes truly exceptional brisket. The pulled pork, on the other hand, shines with a delightful sweetness and a moist, succulent consistency. The ribs, offered in both St. Louis and baby back styles, are a mixed bag. The St. Louis ribs are meaty and well-seasoned, but slightly overcooked, resulting in a somewhat dry texture. The baby backs fare better, with a more tender bite and a satisfyingly sticky glaze.

Damo BBQ is a great mobile food truck. I always go to them at all events I see them at. The Brisket Link is a creative food item and one of the best to order. Highly recommend this food truck for all your events.

WOW! We visited DAMO BBQ food truck outside of the Home Depot in Elgin and we were blown away. We tried the Goddess sandwich, Itailian street corn and burnt ends. The owners are super nice and the BBQ was some of the best we ever had.
If you havent had DAMO meat in your mouth, you are definitely missing out!

Stopped by Damo BBQ today. We had the brisket, chicken, ribs, veggies and Mac and wow! All the food was great. My favorite was the brisket! Excellent flavors!
We catered Damo for a party of about 65 people. They were INCREDIBLE! Fast and efficient delivery.
The food was even better!! The best bbq I’ve had in a loooong time. We had pulled pork and pulled chicken! YUM! The ribs went the fastest — Smokey and so tender! And they call it Mac and Wow for a reason. It’s so good!! Absolutely amazing. Wow, indeed.
We loved all the food and will definitely be using Damo BBQ again.

Went to a pop-up event, had the pulled pork and burger. Both delicious! Pulled pork had some hard cartilage in it, but that's the risk you run with BBQ!

I've had brisket and good meats before, and when I learned it was from a food truck, I'll admit, I upped my expectations a bit. I've had great food truck food and awful too. But it blew those expectations out of the water! Melt-in-your-mouth tender meat, delicious sauces, and tons of variety too! Definitely will cater again :D and thank you soooooo so much Robin for the amazing service!
