If you haven't been to this brewery you need to give it a chance. Energy city has found its niche in the fruit forward, smoothie-esque sours. And while all of their beers are delicious, the best thing we found is that the owner doesn't hesitate to not only let you try their beers, but also to promote all the local breweries that may appeal to you. The brewery doesn't provide a lot of food options directly, but like many other breweries they are fully open to brining in outside food. In addition to great beer and great service, they also have a nice, quality shuffleboard table. I think this brewery has quickly become my wife's favorite brewery in the area! We are definitely going to be regulars from now on!

I've ordered their fruited Weiss beers for pickup. They are such a treat! I don't even like beer, but these beverages are truly amazing!

stopped in for the first time last Sunday on the way back in from Starved Rock. After a long weekend of walking we felt the "energy" at Energy City!! The staff was incredible, we tried some new samples before toasting to our own selection and we brought home some our favs to enjoy during the winter months!! Can't wait to come back for a second time around!!

A ton of fruity, puree-y beers, with a steady body, flavor, and abv content. Samples of four beers were nice. Not a whole lot of their beers on tap, but mostly cans for sale. Interesting to see that their beers are canned/manufactured at Church Street Brewing Company (Itasca, IL), another nice brewery. Not pictured here, but their mango IPA (reminiscent of More Brewing Company's) as well as habañero ones were great. Pictured here, the Bistro Grape PB&J, was absolutely excellent. It was nice to see one of the staff bring back an award (pictured here): The Best of the Best: Best Friend of Illinois Parks, Business - Batavia Parks District. Beers can be a bit filling, but would definitely come back.

A nice looking residential Brewery place that is hidden in a gym. The bear here was real good and I tried several varieties and there was nothing to complain. This is about your atypical in the brewery and how it would look in the state of Illinois and I was overall impressed with the entire small layouts and the look on the place with indoor and outdoor seating

This is the nicest little neighborhood place to have a great beer, chit chat with the owners, play some bean bags or just relax.

Staff was nice and funny. We enjoyed that they gave us some free taste since it was our first time. Strawberry Rhubarb was our favorite. You can barely taste the alcohol :) the peanut butter and jelly was interesting and worth a try. Not really any food options, but they allow you to order pizza for delivery.Price: 3 stars, a tad priceyCreativity: 4 stars

Great beer, friendly staff. Beer is so good we drove out of our way on a road trip to get it! This ain't your typical brewery.
