Such an amazing little shop! The lady (owner?) was so warm and welcoming—like a ray of sunshine. She made great conversation and made the visit even better. The variety of teas you can smell before choosing is decadent, and I loved taste-testing the olive oils and sampling the essential oils. A wonderful experience all around!

The shop is more accessible than some spaces. It's helpful that they have seating throughout and a ramp. I think the tea selection itself is a little limited compared to shops I have been to, but it's not bad. The only reason I am deducting a star is because of the shelving. If anyone is wanting to remove the lids, one has to reach regardless. Sniffing the lids doesn't change that. Shifting the cannisters lower would probably help everyone and be accessible to a wider range of people.

She gave thoughtful recommendations based on the type of tea experience I’m looking for and was incredibly personable throughout. This was such a pleasant surprise visiting Batavia. I did a tea tasting (best tea I've had in my life) and ended up buying olive oil and balsamic vinegar too. I realize now that I should have bought the big tin of the tea so now we have to go back :)

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience. Laura (I think was her name) was wonderful. My bf and I shared the plum oolong which was delightful, and per Laura's suggestion, we mixed it with a vinegar which made it delicious. Purchased both those items and a few more goodies!

If you are an black tea fan (iced available too) , please do yourself a favor and check out the 12 to choose from ranging from a hybrid jasmine-passion fruit to a Darjeeling. There is outdoor seating area, And Cassie is the best of the best. She is knowledgeable, welcoming, kind, and will only sort-of-make-fun-of-you when you miss the WATCH YOUR STEP sign
