Well as soon as we were seated and opened one of our napkins a cock roach came out. We told the guy and he just said sorry. We should have left then. But we stayed. Got the street corn which lacked the seasoning and not hardly any mayo if any. I got the taco salad and it had no flavor, the shell was good. Casa Maria in downtown Belleville is a terrific Mexican restaurant. This place has different menu selections than many Mexican restaurants. I enjoyed the Santa Fe enchiladas. My dining companions split the deluxe fajitas (steak, chicken and shrimp). Everything was good. The service was excellent and there are some outdoor tables on the front sidewalk. Caution as the buses go right by Casa Maria, which is on A Street. Even with the bus traffic, you can't beat sitting outside...
Great food is always appreciated, but over-the-top service is a bonus. We took our (4 and 7 YO) grands for lunch yesterday. Our waiter not only patiently listened to them placing their food orders, he intently followed up with them to be sure they were happy with their meals. This was such a sincere act of kindness and true professionalism.
