Nice little spot to get ice cream and food with friends or family. Only downside that I had was my shake had a little too much milk flavor. Like when they made it they added extra milk. Was still good, though I would recommend

Great small town feel with amazing food and people. Been in Fairview Heights for a month and I’ve already been here twice.
Amazing food and ice cream! You won't go wrong with anything on the menu. Burgers are handmade, pork fritter sandwich is great, fries are always fresh, all the Appetizers are good! The ice cream menu is extensive and you have the option of soft serve or their homemade options! Don't skip their freezer section to take some treats home as well! A must visit place. Indoor and outdoor seating!

This was my first visit to White Cottage. I ordered the Patty Melt which was supposed to be hamburg served on rye bread with fried onions and swiss cheese. First of all, it was not rye bread. (very disappointing) Secondly, there were maybe a tablespoon of fried onions on the sandwich. (very disappointing) On the plus side, the sandwich was served with the meat hot and the cheese melted. Would I go again? Maybe, I would try the ice cream but the sandwiches are not an option.
The funnel cake is fried too hard! It should be crispy but still have a somewhat soft texture to it throughout in my opinion. I love the fried pork tenderloin sandwich. My only complaint is with the condiments added the bottom bun/bread becomes soaking wet, unfortunately. The last time I went I received lettuce that had started to turn brown which was not okay to me. More attention to quality control.
