This bar has a special place in my heart. This bar was my grandfather’s spot. I believe he owned the building when he was alive. I remember being there as a small child and playing games there. I visited once over ten years ago. I would love to come back when I’m in town again.

So, I've been waiting to speak with someone about my order placed at Gioacchino's in Bellwood on Friday. Today, I spoke to Maria who told me they can't do anything after asking why I didn't call the same day. My Son received the delivery as I was on a meeting. Anyway, what good would that have done to call if you're saying you can't do anything? I spent $70 on a large stuffed cheese, sausage, spinach, and mushrooms, cavatelli with salad, and calamari. My Son and Husband complained about the pizza having no meat. I thought the cavatelli was very thick and chalky and the calamari was too chewy. On today's call, I asked for a receipt but was told they couldn't help me. I'll accept the explanation about the cavatelli supposedly being thick like potatoes as I've never had that before. I just won't order it again. I gave the pizza to my brother who complained about it being meatless as well. My mom ate the calamari so all is not lost. But, the customer service!!! What do you want me to do??!!! Not only will you not address the food service but you can't provide a receipt even for me to see if I was even charged for the sausage. Maria referred me to the menu for pricing. Really!!!!

I just attempted to place an order for pick up and the manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. The order was for a large pizza and wings and she told me the kitchen is closed till 4, which is fine I would have just ordered the pizza, but instead she just hangs up on me. I called back hoping there had been a mistake or that it was just a worker having a bad day only to find out that it was the manager. She again proceeded to be extremely rude and tell me that I was not listening and getting her coworkers to listen to what I was saying to prove her point. I work in the food industry so I understand how frustrating it can be however as a manger it was extremely unprofessional. After, she still thought it was appropriate to argue with me over the phone. My family lives in Bellwood so we frequently ate there but this experience was very disappointing as I would much rather support a small business in my town than a large company especially during a pandemic where you’d think they be nicer to their customers.

I have never had the pleasure of dining in but I must say they have the friendliest delivery people . Pizza is truly awesome never over cooked nice crust and sauce
Had dinner here in early September. Got the pasta which was good and also included a small slice of pizza and good bread. Good value for money at this mom and pop restaurant
