Carnitas Don Alfredo Bensenville

These folks ruin carnitas for anybody else, they REALLY know what they're doing! The food is always second to none. Always fresh and delicious. Tamales are freaking epic, both green and red. Tacos are loaded up heavy along with tortas. Mix and lean available. Seriously, highly, highly recommend! It's a regular stop for us! I can't wait to try the rest of their menu.

Great food but when you order by the pound they make you pay for tortillas, salsa and the toppings just be aware since it isn’t advertised anyway, made the $15 per pound to $30 per pound for carnitas

I had the carnitas tacos with their homemade tortillas. So stinkin’ delicious! The horchata and Jamaica were so good as well!

Definitely on the pricey side but the quality and the amount of meat they put on there makes it worth it!

Order the couple burritos through doordash and they forgot to add half the ingredients. Some of which i paid for. They completely ignored the selections. Also ordered a torta that was missing ingredients too.

I'd stay away or don't make any extra choices online. You'll lose money.

Phoned in a order ahead of time walked in and was cut in line about 3 times in front of cashier she literally ghosted me in my face couldn't believe it asked me 2 times what name and taking orders on the phone never felt humiliated in my life worst service I have ever recieved and they forgot my tortillas i paid for never going there again

Horrible service! Food was cold and i paid $35 when all i got was 1 pound of carnitas and a medium orchata! The lady was also extremely rude and had attitude throughout taking my order and when askinf for a bag. There was also a kid whos was the son of one of the cooks and he was shirtless! Around the food and had long hair it was disgusting never coming back!

Carnitas Don Alfredo is well known for there Carnitas and they do not disappoint! Their main location is in Melrose Park and would be worth the drive so its nice they branched out closer to Bensenville!
They have alot of authentic Mexican dishes with some just available weekends Only like Pozole and Menudo.
I go for the Carnitas mainly and get it by the Lbs(11.99/ Lbs) with hand made tortillas made right on the spot! In orders of 5 for 1.99. They give you side on cilantro and onions with limes to go with it. They also have very good Hibiscus water and Horchata.
Place is not too big so seating is limited but people are in and out often, and they know how to get the line moving even if it seems abit long. Specially on the weekends is there busiest but staff was very friendly and helpful.
Definitely one of my favorites Carnitas spots in the area.
