My wife and I went to Moncho's Cafe today for lunch and were instantly impressed with the quality of the food and service here! We talked for a while with one of the owners (Michael Delgado). Not only is Moncho's a very welcome oasis in the desert of Puerto Rican food in the suburbs, but the quality of the ingredients is top-notch! The arroz con gandules is made without ham for those who are vegan/vegetarian, but the flavor is not lacking in the least. I had a steak...

This place was outstanding and served up the best Cuban food I've had since last Christmas with my Grandma. Had the ropa vieja, tostones, and arroz con gondulas and it was fantastic. We will definitely be coming back.
